  1. That's really the beauty of this product. It truly is study sim level in every way, even with these small left out portions Tom speaks of. And, the reason why I can justify this is because Jan has thousands of Captain seat time in the real 737-300. These items left out, in his own words, are things he rarely/almost never ended up utilizing in real day-to-day tasks flying this bird in the real world. It was imperative to achieve every aspect of the simulation/FMC that he did use, and do it with great accuracy. Even better is the commitment to finish these items in a later update, even if they will essentially rarely (if ever) get used by the masses. Bottom line: What you will get with this product is what real 737 Classic pilots would use on a daily basis, and simulated as they would see it in the real world. That's pretty darn cool!
  2. But who's to say those app developers would actually cooperate? It's best to cover all bases as Tom is doing.
  3. Mat, You're not the programmer of this product. Your answer has zero authoritative authenticity, and as far as I know you don't have the source code. Leave the real answers like this to the people that know, and not sillly assumptions like you make.
  4. You're really not providing any information of value here. We have thousands of customers using Windows 10. I beg to differ with your assessment. So, please provide information of what issue you're having other than "it doesn't work" type answers.
  5. Can you be more specific about which aircraft?
  6. Not sure what this means. It runs fine in Windows 10.
  7. The team continues to make every effort to get this product done in 2015.
  8. Why are you recommending this? Our products don't use Java...
  9. Spud, The cost is TBD. For performance, Jan posted an image from his machine showing about a 3fps difference between the 737 and default 747 if I remember right.
  10. One key for that setup.
  11. Delete the license database lua file in X-Plane/X-Aviation and try again.
  12. You can go straight to 3.0. If the problem persists after that please let us know.
  13. Very rarely ever on sale.
  14. This made me laugh hard. A moment I will never forget! Hahaha.
  15. No. Payment methods available will be: PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express. You could theoretically set PayPal up to take from your bank as a money transfer. It will be available here: http://www.x-aviation.com
  16. We do not have a list of the folder names readily available. The best method for this would be to utilize the names of each zip file downloaded to your computer, and frankly, I haven't tested whether embedded folders would work with RealScenery yet. Maybe at a later date we can test this and configure the installer to do things in this fashion.
  17. Please consult your support ticket replies.
  18. Hey BaBene, Thanks for all your coherent commentary in this, and best wishes going into the holidays!
  19. BaBene, Thanks for your well thought out post. I'll let Tom answer his side to this, but I'll also remind you that after sales support is every bit a factor in this. Linux does not behave as "easy" as mass consumer operating systems, and it's made even more rough by the multitude of flavors. The simple answer to that is to say we only support one flavor, but even then there's the staff support training costs and upkeep of the plugin development (which believe it or not is not as simple as drop and compile and up to this point has required quite a bit of work to achieve almost the same Windows and Mac functionality). It all ultimately comes down to economics, and that's something we'll continue to pay attention to in the years going forward. As for these wannabe Linux users? There must be a lot of them in the X-Plane world. Most of them are quite demanding and even vengeful in other public venues. I'm sure there's plenty of good folk, but when the only ones who want to speak up are these so called "wannabe's" it doesn't put a good taste in our mouth.
  20. Curious to know why Aerosoft offers a FF format and a Laminar one then for XP. Either way, this has no bearing on the original question by deetee. While the database may contain the same data, it is not in the same format.
  21. The format for this product has been chosen. Making such a change like that would NOT be a good decision at this point (and I don't think FF uses default data...seems they have their own dataset).
  22. Please see post 12.
  23. What is shown is only what it's told to show. It definitely sounds as though your METAR was perhaps majorly messed up. That's all controlled/interpreted by X-Plane or whatever other plugin you use to download such sources and set X-Plane weather, so I'm not sure we can be all to blame. A test: Open X-Plane and set your own weather settings manually of what you personally would have expected to see. Does this now look better represented than what you saw in this real weather download situation?
  24. The code runs within X-Plane. There is no significant drop in performance on my machine at all. Everyone's experience will be linear to their setup, so this is not the easiest question to answer.
  25. It's not shipped that way because the eye candy people like is not that selection. It just so happens in your scenario it may work better with Frank's suggestion.
