  1. There are plenty of videos of such out there on YouTube already. I'm going to cross post something here that I posted elsewhere: We have distinct representations for cumulus, stratus, cumulonimbus, towering cumulus, cirrus, and cirrocumulus. Sorry guys, but that's all you're about to see in the real world. The new HD puff overcast representation is certainly visually distinct from cumulus, and if you want something really different, there's the solid and broken stratiform options in SMP. These clouds meet the very strict training requirements of organizations like the US Air Force, US Navy, NASA, Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, etc., all of whom are our direct customers along with hundreds more. The only one we don't fully have implemented (partially in some instances) is altocumulus, which we may look at adding in later on. What sets SkyMaxx Pro apart is it's ability to actively MORPH clouds into new shapes. They can start out in one form, and eventually morph to new. This is something no current simulation has. Version 4 definitely appears distinctly different in sim than past versions as well.
  2. Hi Captains!, We'll keep up with the tradition from yesterday since you guys loved the previews so much! Our beta testers for the upcoming SkyMaxx Pro v4 have some more shots they've taken, and here's our favorites for today... Enjoy!
  3. The only info I have is that they have yet to distribute to even Aerosoft and even simmarket as well. It could well be they want to start with a small group to get a feel of bug reports. No idea, Jose. I'm not in control of this one!
  4. The wait will not be too long. We are working at a fast pace, but not a rushed one. I can tell you there is a lot of movement though.
  5. Thanks for the support!
  6. I know John enough to know there was humor in his answer. Please don't throw this thread sideways. Take it to PM if you're that perturbed.
  7. No worries, Rob! Like Isaid, everyone has their own view. I personally fly 3-4 days per week real world. While I don't agree with everything you said, I do realize different things make different people tick. In simulation people don't have the sense of movement under their butt. Dramatic scenes, colors, etc play into the eye stimulation. It feels and looks more realistic to majority of others, just not you. Win some and lose some! I personally feel this is our most realistic iteration yet, and like I said, I'm quite experienced in the real world. If it's not for you, then so be it!
  8. No. We offer the discount to the customers who stick with us through each version. The 50% off will apply to version 3 owners only!
  9. Having been in this market for over ten years in going to tell you that what looks good to you looks horrible to others. On the contrary, what looks horrible to you will look amazing to others. We face this battle with customers all the time. In the end, SkyMaxx Pro v4 is the result of listening to our vocal customer base. I'm sorry if it doesn't appeal to you, but we do hope it appeals to majority...it's certainly seeming so. Thanks for chiming in though, Rob!
  10. It will require an update. The update will be free to all current customers.
  11. Haha, it's funny, because the few he talked down are the ones I liked the most!
  12. There have indeed been adjustments and texture changes.
  13. Hopefully we've got that handled after the enormous traffic from the last SkyMaxx and IXEG release! I'll be cautiously optimistic this time.
  14. Thanks! Stay tuned...
  15. We have not been provided any files to distribute as of yet.
  16. We have never released a major update in less than a years time. I guess I should go to Adobe and Apple for their iPhone upgrade practices too! Shame on us bad companies for making a living and providing you with improvements at 50% the cost!
  17. I don't personally get re-draw. Guess you'll have to judge when everyone gets their hands on RWC v1.1 and SMP v4.
  18. Thanks for the kind words! Pricing remains the same at $39.95, and all v3 customers receive a 50% discount.
  19. It will, and does!
  20. Hi Captains!, We thought you'd like to see more shots of what SkyMaxx Pro v4 is bringing to the table. Our beta test group has been giving us great feedback and taking many pics for us to share. These are just a few of our favorites today! Thanks to @Yidahoo and @Attitude for taking these during their beta test experience!
  21. We are fully compatible with X-Plane 11 already. Laminar provided us some early access in the SMP 4 development phase to get a head start on that, so on day one of release we will be both X-Plane 10 and 11 compatible. There is code in SkyMaxx Pro v4 which will auto-detect which version of X-Plane you are using and apply the appropriate code within the plugin to that platform.
  22. It's worth investigating. For the moment we are taking in all feedback from our beta test group and being very open to change. The end result will be a product we feel exceeds all previous releases and makes our customers happy. We are certainly not rushing this one. It needs to be done mostly right, and at the same time we need to balance X-Plane 11. I have a feeling Laminar is hearing about the values you speak of and may make changes by the time we are in RC stages for XP 11.
