  1. Nice rig Chris. I wish I had the money for that kind of computer...
  2. I'm going to call it a night.
  3. I have completely started from scratch with nothing but my original orthophotos, here is how it's looking so far (only the east-west runway is complete, nothing else). Sorry for it being so dark, I have my gamma turned way down to find discolouration which is common in low resolution orthoimagery.
  4. So I recently downloaded my old CZBB file to mess with in WED to add buildings, forests, textures, etc, but WED crashes every time I try to build the scenery pack. Any suggestions? I would attach a log if there was one. I'd like to add that it straddles a DSF boundary edge. Cheers.
  5. Uploading tonight:
  6. Some closer up shots to give you a feel for what you will actually be using rather than seeing it from 3000 feet. Yes, my engine is on fire. Shut up.
  7. Hey in those first pictures from the preview, what scenery was that? EDIT oh ha wow I'm blind (you have my outright permission to agree).
  8. Don't worry... the only airport that I didn't model buildings for was CZBB which I plan to update soon. Yes, there will be buildings.
  9. Taking a break from studying for my math final tomorrow... got the trees done. God, what an awful tree system, but what a beautiful road network system. I can't believe how amazing orthophotos look with those roads on top... amazing. I honestly can't wait to see what this small but sweet airport looks when I'm done with it. Too bad my mega project has to exclude all local roads as the OSM data is extremely faulty (it's an island, and none of the roads are even on the island)
  10. Which high school?
  11. Having been to China now, I'm curious how much more down and out a country that has the potential to be developed in a modern way (ie China) could be. I would like Pyongyang probably, seeing as there is almost no one there. I hate crowds.
  12. PRESS RELEASE: Official from PNWS, 9:10PST A separate "RyanCZ" edition will be released for ensured accuracy.
  13. Yes. There is. Wait... I think I said something earlier, although it may just be the halucinogenics kicking in. Read the first post.
  14. Oh my god those are some of the worst letters I have ever seen I am going back to WED right now.
  15. PROGRESS!!! PROGRESS!!! PROGRESS!!! I'm actually quite impressed with my own work for the first time. I usually find it dull and boring but this project is moving along fast enough for me to find it exciting.
  16. Among my two much larger projects I am currently in the process of completing (or barely starting), I will be building this lovely little stupidly decomissioned airstrip in Blaine, Washington. It is just south of the Canadian Border and will never operate again seeing as an industrial building has been placed in the middle of the runway. Screw you, Blaine, I'm building this airport for X-Plane whether you think it's there or not. Anyways, that is all. More updates later.
  17. Forget my input... I'm a Mac user.
  18. What about a cold feeling alpine colour set? The kind of sky you see up North during a cold and slightly hazy time of year?
  19. For a long time, BHI was sort of a source of beautiful X-Plane aircraft that I could find nowhere else, the legitimacy of which I questioned. Now heir website is gone and has been replaced with an "effective immediately" notice. What happened? What was BHI anyways? I have never been a virtual airline kind of guy, more into scenery development than commitment to and airline... anyways, if anyone knows, post it here. I can't find any articles on any websites about BHI vanishing into thin air. Cheers.
  20. Due to a death in the family, all of my work will be halted until further notice. Colin S
  21. Still fun
  22. I have done so, and there is nothing (ie, I select "zoom package") outside of the airport boundary that is within the airport in WED. Especially the windsock and the beacon.
  23. I am trying to make the final release of CYKA work - but whenever X-Plane loads, I get "Bad Windsock and Airport Beacon" in the log.txt and a big ugly grey warning screen... ...I'll go back to my little happy place of working on my secret scenery project, but in the meantime, can someone please take a look at this apt.dat and tell me what exactly is so 'bad?' For the same of the servers, here are the relevant lines. There is no reoccurrence of a beacon or windsock, and there should be able to be doubles of a windsock, anyways. 18 50.69926781 -120.44059916 1 BCN19 50.70600764 -120.46340492 1 WS54 12300 SHELL AERO CNTR51 12570 RADIO52 12190 CLNC DEL99Here is the log.txt entry about it all: 0:00:00.957 E/APT: Found a bad-location windsock: CYKA0:00:07.314 E/SYS: +-------------------------------------------------------------------------------0:00:07.314 E/SYS: | Error loading the scenery package:0:00:07.314 E/SYS: | Custom Scenery/aaa_PNWS - CYKA/0:00:07.314 E/SYS: | The scenery may not look correct.0:00:07.314 E/SYS: | Please see the log.txt file for detailed error information.0:00:07.314 E/SYS: | (airp.cpp:1012)0:00:07.314 E/SYS: +-------------------------------------------------------------------------------0:00:07.314 E/SCN: Custom Scenery/aaa_PNWS - CYKA/Earth nav data/apt.dat:0:00:07.314 E/SCN: Found a bad-location windsock at CYKA!
