  1. Well I'll be, it is a Lancair Legacy... As Greg said before, how on earth do those speed brakes slow the plane down when there is such minimal surface area?
  2. In that case I have a feeling it is either a homebuilt or something experimental? I can't think of anything else it could be, or I am missing something quite obvious... Nah, we need more hints lol.
  3. Can't really find any good shots of aircraft speed brakes in a similar nature to the one modelled, but I think this might be a Lancair or some sort? Getting closer?
  4. Let me think a bit... Columbia 400, maybe... A Cirrus, maybe... Do we need more clues, yes.
  5. Frankly the inability to take sarcasm is rather shocking, due to its rather widespread use in society. Some days people just make me wonder, but thats nothing new... On another note, your painting abilities look very nice, it's a shame you've decided to pull them from the .org, where a wider audience could have enjoyed them, over a simple misunderstanding.
  6. In that case I feel a bit daft, from the rest of the list it looked like just poor grammar or a mistyped statement just because the rest was quite well written...
  7. Ah, makes sense. Thanks for the clarification, it just seems a tad poorly worded within the description.
  8. This one has got me stumped me for a while, if the real plane has an inverted system, wait no..., or maybe? Might need to correct that...
  9. From what I can gather from the style of the write up, this was written by Felis and then translated, which gives some of the grammatical idiosyncrasies and rather interesting errors...
  10. Definitely the home stretch, and a good thing too, I spent $2.33 million in FSE buying a SAAB 340 in anticipation of this release, and I can't wait to put some hours on her.
  11. Getting close to one month after the initial release date was voided, not a problem, just making sure everything is well and the project is still as beautiful as the last time I saw it...
  12. It looks cheesier than that Nintendo Wii thing...
  13. Thanks for the information Cameron.
  14. I did see that, but I was wondering how the update process will be done, as I have seen it done in a number of ways in the past.
  15. Interesting to see that an upgrade has been made, but I would like to known how this upgrade process is being implemented? If it is by way of email, I have yet to receive any notifications, or if it is by way of X-Aviation through their site...?
  16. Go into the joystick and what not menu (sorry I can't remember exactly what it's called), then look for centring, make sure that the stick is completely centred. When you have the stick centred, hit the centre button and it will set that position up as the stick neutral position. That should alleviate the issue your noticing.
  17. Sometimes you really have to wonder about the random things that jump up and bit you in X-Plane... Random plugin malfunctions, etc... I guess every once and a while something has to go SABU or have a major SNAFU...
  18. Alright, problem solved... Some dirty plugin that went bad, now that I did a folder clean out, the problem disappeared.
  19. No problem, looks like the .org will slowly reveal results, just give 'er time...
  20. It started up randomly after switching aircraft in version 9.62. Did a preference delete, no dice. Updated to version 9.67, no dice. Deleted preferences, no dice. Restarted computer, no dice. This is bloody well obfuscating...
  21. Here is a link to the post I made in the .org Bug Thread, I have no idea what the heck is causing the problem, maybe someone here can think of a solution. At the moment, I'm taking a forced X-Plane hiatus... http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=31340&view=findpost&p=559202
  22. If you ever need documentation in the form of POH's send me a private message and I'll enlighten thee...
  23. Excellent reading material here, and very true. A perfect example of which is the Falcon 7X. The 7X has a maximum certified ceiling of 51,000 feet. I often use this aircraft within X-Economy, and it is very picky about weights and cruising altitudes. There is an excellent spread sheet that was put in the .org download manager about cruising altitudes and weights that gives you a very accurate weight to altitude chart. This is a plane that loves to fly fast, and high, but do not try and push it to high when it is heavy...
  24. I can completely understand the fear, but letting your fear get to the stage in which it completely cripples your ability to do anything about the fact your watching your aircraft plunge towards the earth is frightening. Again I say this, he should have some knowledge of how to recover any aircraft from a descent or dive. You should learn about that getting your PPL. This lack of training garbage is just that, garbage, peddled by Air India Express to try and cover their pilot. I'm actually quite surprised that they are covering him, normally any airline that gets bad press for an incident like this throws the whole crew "under the bus", me thinks this fellow has connections...
