  1. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Don't worry guys I was the only person onboard the heli, but yes I am guilty of watching "Apocalypse Now" too many times 8) I've been working on my helicopter flying skills more, and hope to stick my landings much better now Thanks for watching!
  2. Will do captain!
  3. Hi everyone, I just wanted to ask who is planning on going to the Paris Airshow in 1.5 weeks. The show runs from Monday June 20th to Sunday June 26. The trade days are Monday June 20th until Friday June 24th. Public days are Saturday 25th, and Sunday 26th. I'll be at the show during one of the trade days (most likely Wednesday or Friday). Displays at the show include A380, 748i, 748F, Rafale, and many more. Hope to see you there!
  4. I'm offended Leen. Of course I'm not doing any of this for my enternaiment, I happened to know one of the flight attendants on the flight.. Doing something like this for entertainment is absolutely terrible... and I'm offended you would actually think I would do something like that.
  5. Shhhh, I'm still working on those landings ;D
  6. Hi all, I decided to take the BK117 up for a quick flight around KVNC during the sunset hours, and I decided to make a quick video. Enjoy it in 1080, it makes the whole experience much nicer ! PS: Yeah... Yeah... my landings are still rough, but I'm working on em'
  7. For some reason I'm unable to activate the moving map. I press the Topo\Terrain buttons yet they just uncheck themselves... I'm not sure if I'm missing something blatantly obvious, or if something's wrong. Any help is appreciated EDIT: Scratch that, I figured it out! All is well now, the moving map looks great, thanks guys!
  8. Hi all, I just thought I'd share with all of you my thoughts on an app I found on the Appstore called FS Kneeboard. Don't let the name fool you, it works with X-Plane. The app consists of Terminal, Sectional, IFR High, IFR Low charts for the USA. The app also contains approach\departure plates for any airport in the USA. One cool thing is that many different plates can be opened at once. You can also include your checklists into the app. The app comes with pre defined checklists for various FS planes including PMDG etc etc.. but it allows you to type up your own checklists. Another great thing is that the app also shows current weather and metars. The app gives you a picture of the current radar conditions in the ICAO you've inputed. Lastly, the app contains an kneepad section to allow you to type whatever ATC has told you you needed to remember. I just bought this app a few days ago and am thoroughly enjoying it! I use it in parallel to Air Track! I definitely recommend it to everyone! it works on iPad\iPhone but looks much better on iPad http://www.inquisitivegraphics.com/ PS: I've added some of the screenshots from the website. Enjoy!
  9. Exactly 2 years ago F-GZCP was arriving at SBGL for her last landing ever. May she, and everyone on board fateful flight 447 Rest in Peace. They will never be forgotten. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us

  13. I started tearing up today when I read about the news. The plane stalled at roughly FL380 and dropped at a vertical speed of 10,912ft per minute :'( The stall lasted roughly 3.5 minutes. The scarriest part is for those 3.5 minutes the passengers had time to see themselves die :'( For those of you who understand French there is an 1hr long debate on the last minutes of 447 http://www.france5.fr/c-dans-l-air/index-fr.php?page=resume&id_rubrique=1722 I'm going to be working on an another tribute video to AF 447 and it should hopefully be uploaded by tomorrow morning. Good luck to everyone coping with this horrible accident. I sure know it took a very emotional toll on me and my entire family knowing many people that work at Air France including one of the flight attendants who was on the doomed flight :-\
  14. Thanks, Simon! Oh yes, you need to turn the brightness down when it's night out, it takes a toll on your eyes to go from Bright G1000 screen to dark runway on approach! Thanks again
  15. Thanks a lot, my friend! Ah yes... my taxiing... still not as clean as I'd want it to be... and the problem with the fast forwarding is it makes all my little errors seem a lot bigger ;D
  16. What Version of 7 is it? 32bit or 64bit? Not sure if that has anything to do with it... I'm trying to think of all things that could be wrong. It's strange... I run Win 7 64bit + X-Plane perfectly well...
  17. Hi everyone, As a friend of mine has been finishing up his commercial training here in Florida, we decided to film and photograph our flights! This video includes him and I piloting various different aircrafts including: C172SP, Cessna 172 with G1000, Piper Seneca and many more! The video also features a Stearman (2:42) that was on approach as we were holding short. The video is in 1080P so I suggest you turn that on, it makes the beautiful sunsets even more pleasant Enjoy!
  18. Not now... only after the Saab and 747s are out
  19. He has to! He needs to impress the ladies ;D
  20. Wow what a shame... glad everyone made it out alive though!
