Very nice! Word smarter, not harder! I'm currently starting my own online business. I was tired of getting tickets so I created a lawyer directory service for traffic tickets and criminal driving violations. That way, I can do road rallies and it's considered work since it's where I meet a lot of clients and leads

Wow, that's awful. Did they ever tell you what they ended up replacing? I'm crossing my fingers that my issues will stop at the video card. Did you check if your computer was able to run fine with just the on board graphics?
-
Uh oh... do you run a company that has to do with boating? Thank you, you as well!
-
Yeah I've fully uninstalled the video drivers and I get clean video from the onboard graphics, even if it's at low res. The video card is supposed to arrive here this week, if it's still giving me issues I'll take the whole computer to a computer store. Thanks guys!

By the way, I'm loving the new developments on all your projects. I haven't had much time for X-Plane.. in the planning stages of a real life aviation business, but once I get my computer working again I'll definitely need to pick up all your latest planes!

Thanks for the reply, Goran. I checked the fans and they're all working fine. Even the GPU fan is spinning. The odd thing is that a few months ago I took my computer apart and cleaned all the dust out of it and it was spotless. I'm just confused as I had opened my computer, and it was only about 2 months after having cleared the dust that the issues began. I suppose that would possibly cancel out the static electricity factor since that would have fried it right away?

Hi everyone, I posted about 2 weeks ago that my main desktop computer had run into what I believe were graphics card issues. I received some advice from other members here and unfortunately nothing worked. I went as far as doing a full computer system restore to the factory settings. I wanted to be sure there were no corruptions from any systems files. Unfortunately, that did not fix it (Btw, Cameron, I'm going to need to re-download every X-Aviation plane I've ever purchased ). Anyway, I'm curious as to what the signs of a dying video card are as I've replaced my video card with the same 6850 that I purchased online this afternoon. The first signs occurred the morning of the dreadful day. My PC unintentionally split my screens and started showing strange static. The computer than froze to a fully white screen. I rebooted assuming it was just a glitch, and after the reboot, I arrive at the password screen with thick black lines that are spread across the entire screen. I've tested my monitor and there are no issues with it. All software testing aside, could this be a video card that has essentially died? Since my system restore, the computer has been working fine using the onboard graphics. Any help is appreciated!

I'll be trying that tonight and I'll post back the results. Thanks a lot for the advice, much appreciated! Olivier

Hi everyone, As of a few days ago, my main work and X-Plane computer is out of commission. I purchased the computer online a couple years ago and it has now what I believe a dead GPU. I thought I'd come here to see what you guys thought as this issue has really screwed my workflow and I can't use X-Plane for my training either. So the issue first occurred 3 days ago, I was watching a video on YouTube when the screen became an off white.. I thought that this was just an occasional crash and decided to restart the computer directly from the power button as the computer itself wasn't responding. I let the computer cool down for a few hours and restarted it an hour later, it booted up fine and worked as usual. After working for a few hours, the computer decided to split the monitor in half such as windows 7 would do, expect this was unintentional. I rebooted the computer and the issue persisted. I thought I'd give the computer a night of rest to see if it would work the following day, the following day after rebooting the computer, the password screen had black horizontal lines across the entire screen and after entering my password the computer crashed. I've tried booting the computer in safe mode and it worked fine. There is also an integrated graphics chipset in the computer so I believe that that was the one working when it was booted in safe mode. I've updated all the drivers and it hasn't fixed it. I've also opened the computer to clean the card from dust and debris. I'd appreciate greatly any advice! I've listed the specs below. Specs: HP Pavilion HPE H8-1050 Mobo: IPISB-CH2 Processor: I7 2600 3.4GHZ RAM: 10GB DDR3 GPU: AMD Radeon HD6850 with 1GB Vram PSUL 460W Thanks in advance, Olivier

Must be the livery that does it... I've got it and mine doesn't look as good as in the shots. To be honest, the model itself really doesn't appeal to me as much as the VC or the Systems. Thanks anyway!

Beautiful plane, where did you pick it up from?

That looks incredible!

Another few shots of the Rafale over Tahiti.

I can't get enough of the Rafale... + SkyMaxx Pro + FlyWithLua RealTerra Haze. It's heaven!

I really couldn't thank everyone at XPFR anymore for this. This is by far one of the most incredible fighters in the world, and the fact it's not compatible with XPX makes me ecstatic!
-
Happy Easter to everyone! I was very thankful today when I checked XPFR and they had recently updated their Dassault Rafale C. Be sure to check it out!

Looks good, my friend! Can't wait to see it fully finished!

This is the slightly edited version of the shot I posted in the XPMaxx Competition.

I don't think he meant to attack your product... I just think he means you need to be careful especially given the current events in the aeronautical world. At the end of the day, it's your product and your company... just don't taint your name because you wanted to add a feature that isn't looked at in good regards by the general public. Olivier

Hi everyone, Finally dusted off X-Plane after another month and a half of it sitting on my desk. Need to practice some IFR so I decided to purchase a better weather engine than X-Plane's lacking default one. I absolutely love it. SkyMaxx Pro is definitely a must-buy in my book as it looks incredible, and performs SO much better than the default X-Plane weather. Without further ado, here are some screenshots I took whilst flying the XPFR DR400 around a heavily modified LFRE.

Thanks guys. My major in college is business... they essentially teach you what you can do yourself already. I believe college is necessary for medicinal practice and for a few other professions, but frankly for business, I believe the best tool is to go out there, learn, fail, make mistakes, and try again. I also believe making connections is even more important that you learn throughout business. As the cliche saying goes, "It's not about what you know, it's about who you know". Sometimes it takes unhappiness or other life events for you to realize your true happiness and meaning. What really pushed me to follow my passion yet again was my split with my gf. It made me realize how much happier I could be if I changed a few things about my life, including regaining my lost passion of flying. I'll be keeping you guys updated with everything that happens. Luckily my written private is still valid until August so I'll have to mostly study up for my check ride. Best of luck to you both in your endeavors.

Well Gents... I've made a choice that will hopefully enable me to once again put me on the right path to follow another career I've dreamed of... I've been so busy lately with being a dual major freshman at the University of Central Florida that I hadn't flown in over a year.. I stopped with 180 hours when I was 16 right before getting my PPL which I always regretted. Being unhappy at the University and always focused on my own online businesses instead of going to class, I decided that I still needed a form of "paper education" in case my own businesses did not work out (so far so good ). Well after being once again hooked on flying from using X-Plane over the past few months, and being taken up once again with a few friends in a Da40 two weeks ago, I took the plunge and decided to re-enroll myself in flight training to pursue my dream of getting my commercial pilot's license. I'm finishing up my freshman year at the University and will be doing my full commercial training over the course of next summer. If all goes as planned I will have my commercial pilot's license before I turn 19 next August. I was also introduced to one of the guys here in Sarasota that owns a Jet Brokering firm that could potentially look at hiring me once I have my licenses completed... which has me very excited as it's been a dream of mine to start a jet brokering/charter company. I'll be continuing work at an online local college despite my dislike of school in order to get a degree nonetheless. I guess my main goal of this post is to say, always follow your dreams, and even if you pause on them for a while, if it's meant to be it'll happen and you can always return to your passion. I'm glad I had a first year at university because it pushed me even more to focus on my own businesses and to work for myself because I began to realize that spending 80k to not be guaranteed a job. Follow your dreams, people! Happy Flying, Olivier C.

It's been about 2 years since I last flew in X-Plane. With life moving in the fast lane, college classes begining, and starting multiple of my own businesses I unfortunately had lost my time to use X-Plane. Luckily, I decided to find the time to start flying again! Here's a screenshot from tonight's flight! Flew from KMIA to TNCM in an Air France Airbus A319.
