  1. I'm using last year's 27" i7. However, I set the display to 1920 x 1080
  2. When the largest tech companies can be brought to their knees by an overly large response, I can not fault Laminar for what is happening today--my guess is that you are not in the computer/internet industry. I don't mean this as a slight. I am using Transmission. what I did was first run a speed test to find my current UL speed. I then went to: http://infinite-source.de/az/az-calc.html to determine the proper settings. It was still slow until I found an advanced setting that drastically increased the number of peers (I went from 60 to 500.) Many of these were 100% complete which took me from 4-5 complete seeders to over 100
  3. BT is BT, Laminar has nothing to do with that. It's not something I use so I had to download a client. The process was slow until I tweaked the settings, then it screamed.
  4. Hi Indi, The 2010 MBP auto-switches, the late 2008 and 2009 machines require log out / log in
  5. Worked fine total time 6 - 7 minutes (this was with my wife streaming video on the same connection)
  6. XP 9.5 RC3 check Start with engines running" check Deleted Preferences Folder and cabin lights keys work instrument light keys--same in other aircraft Regarding the VRAM, I was not attacking your work, just thought you might want to let folks know the VRAM load up front. I can, and will, make adjustments to my settings and destinations (because of additional VRAM load.) It just means I won't use the C23 nearly as often as I otherwise would have--I only have 256MB VRAM. I don't have either of the aircraft you mentioned, but here are some comparisons (the 747 came with XP the others are pay-ware): Heavy Scenery Load C400 293MB/34fps C23 344MB/19fps (actually less) 747 213MB/41fps 172 217MB/39fps PA22 218MB/32fps Middle of the ocean, in the clouds (stratus) C400 225MB/83fps C23 276MB/19fps 747 144MB/130fps 172 148MB/128fps PA22 150MB/62fps What system are you using. It is no more hungry than the Mu-2 or Javelin (from memory) We build planes presuming you have atleast a 256mb card. Im running a 7600GS nVidia and my frame rates aren't that bad. Sorry for the trouble your having with this plane. We hope to have these issues your having' date=' resolved soon. Cheers, Theo [/quote']
  7. Neither panel_bright_up nor instrument_bright_up have any effect whatsoever. However, I did finally get the mouse action to work. FYI: this is the most VRAM hungry aircraft I've yet encountered. I would say that if someone is going to use any add-on scenery: 256 MB minimum 512 MB recommend
  8. Worked: Up/Down for Cabin; 45 Degree Diagonal (down/left and up/right) for for Instruments Thanks
  9. Restarted XP and it's working now I, apparently, was fooling myself. Still no lights.
  10. Ok, I feel like a dolt, but for the life of me I can not get the instrument and cabin lights to work!
  11. Hi Cameron, Point taken, at least by me. However, what vendors need to understand is that "looking into it" has, historically been akin to when you were a kid (or when you had a kid--because any parent who has not done this, will someday do it) and you were told 'come on and we'll come back here before we leave'. It never happens. What tends to happen is that they look at the process and realize they don't know Objective C, Xcode is alien territory and they have to make a stab-in-the-dark ROI guess. They, historically, decide "no". The same would be true of a Mac developer looking to recreate their products for windows. Anywhy, after a while, Mac users start to feel like they have invited the big kids into the yard to play, but then are forced to sit on the sidelines and watch. But, watch and wait, patiently, I will.
  12. That doesn't match with an interview with Austin. Unless you have other data of course. Source: http://techhaze.com/2010/03/interview-with-x-plane-creator-austin-meyer/ I didn't say overwhelming more. If you notice he said "maybe" half and half. The increase in the number of windows users is recent. And, admittedly, will, if not already, surpass the Mac. And, yes, maybe I'm being overly sensitive. But for quite sometime X-plane was our (the Mac) sim. And now we see an increasing number of refugee programers with cool PC only products who "say" they are looking at other platforms, and they may, but nothing ever comes of it.
  13. Try, the largest number of people are running it on the Mac.

That was the missing element, Thanks

Thanks Jim--I had to change the extension from .fms to .txt so that the forum software would let me upload it. (Props for the fastest support anywhere!) KBDN_>_DSD_>_MAVER_>_BTG_>_KPDX.txt

Next problem: the "save" button allows one to save the flight plan (the plan can be opened with a text editor and appears to be correct) and the "load" button does, indeed, bring up the proper dialog to select the saved flight plan. However, the plan does not load.
  17. i selected "Hide email address from public?" but my email still shows in my posts and the Members List! How do I get this "feature" to work correctly?

Or 3. Assign the "General command: right" to a button on the yoke! Thanks guys!

Arrow Key!?! Never dreamed of hunting around for my keyboard--I use a yoke and pedals. Is there a way to that action to a button?
