  1. Hi, guys! I got a couple of questions regarding the Saab 340A. I looked at the manual but I still don't understand how the CTOT works. I turn on the 2 CTOT switches and turn the CTOT rotary to 110% before takeoff, right, another question, I saw the refuel annunciation light on the overhead panel, how can I get it to light? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  2. Hi, guys! Question for you, how do I get real weather like winds, clouds, ect. to show on xavion for x-plane since now I'm using real weather which updates every hour from the internet? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  3. Hi, ointment! Thanks for the link! I checked it out, it is very interesting! Cheers, Vincent
  4. Hi, guys! Today, I flew from BIKF to EPWA in the Saab 340A! I got the Saab 340A up to the altitude of 41,100 feet MSL! Cheers, Vincent
  5. Hi, guys! I looked on the internet but I cannot seem to find what I'm looking for. Is there a VOR to VOR charts which have a moving map for the ipad? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  6. Hi, JGregory! That makes sense! I guess the generators power the prop RPM gauges but I'm not sure. It sounds like it takes the propellers about several seconds to stop rotating. Cheers, Vincent
  7. Hi, JGregory! I think the prop RPM gauges goes instantly right to 0 after shutting down the engines. I think the propellers stop rotating almost instantly after the engines is shutdown which coincides with the prop RPM gauges, but the engine gauges however it takes a couple of minutes before the engine completely stop rotating which also coincides with the engine % RPM gauges. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  8. Hi, JGregory! I'll explain this to you, I don't know if the prop RPM gauges are working properly or not. The engine sound should be coincidental with the engine RPM but I don't think it is in the LES saab 340A. Please start the engines manually instead of using auto-start and shut the engines down to see what I mean and please note the prop RPM as you shut the engines down. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  9. Hi, guys! I think I got the same issue like what ryanbatic have but I'm not sure. After I set the cond levers to fuel cutoff, the prop RPM gauges should slowly go to 0 RPM instead of instantly, and as the turbines are winding down, the turbine RPM goes down the same rate like in the real Saab 340A, but I can still hear the engine running until the turbine RPM goes to about 5% RPM then the engine stops, instead of the engine stops at 5% RPM, the engine noise would decrease as the turbine RPM is decreasing as seen on the turbine RPM gauges. I installed the Saab 340A correctly. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  10. Hi, guys! I updated the hot fix yesterday, the brakes works like a charm now! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  11. Hi, Hueyman! Oh, okay, the b-17 and the dead reckoning got it! Dead reckoning will get easier once you get the thang of it! Cheers, Vincent
  12. Hi, Hueyman! I've been using the Saab340A lately and I don't get any airplane addons from x-plane.org anymore because I'm having all kinds of troubles buying anything from x-plane.org. Cheers, Vincent
  13. Hi, phantom88! Great! I'll check it out! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  14. Hi, guys! I noticed the inverter switch just to the left of the fuel jettison switch is missing. I put the mouse pointer over the empty spot just to the left of the fuel jettison switch, the inverter switch was there and the mouse pointer turn into a hand. In the LES dc-3 operating manual, the inverter switch is just to the left of the fuel jettison switch. Please see the attached photos. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  15. Hi, eMko! Thanks for the info! I really enjoy flying the classic dc-3 of the 1930s! As far as the khamsin b-17 goes, the b-17 has the CDI indicator used for VOR navigation and ILS approaches like in the Czechoslovakian Zlin 43, right? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  16. Hi, guys! I think I stick with the old vintage DC-3 gauges like from the 1930s! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  17. Hi, guys! I'm not sure which plane to fly, the b-17 or the dc-3 in terms of proper gauge placement like in the real dc-3 or the b-17? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  18. Hi, eMko! On the b-17 cockpit, there is the indicator just above the altimeter called the CDI used for VOR navigation which can also be used for ILS approach and landing. Please see attached. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  19. Hi, guys! I looked at the charts in the dc-3 manual but I cannot read them because the printouts are too small. What is the best prop RPM, best throttle setting, best mixture setting, and the best altitude for the longest range flight? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  20. Hi, guys! I used the search function but I cannot seem to find what I'm looking for, but I got a question, the dc-3 land using the ILS, right, if not, how the dc-3 is landed safely? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  21. Hi, eaglewing7! I know about dead reckoning! I just don't understand how dead reckoning works. Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  22. Hi, Hueyman! How the pilots get the reference from 25,000 feet above the ground? What kind of map did the b-17 pilot use when flying from London, England to New York, City, New York? Please get me the link so maybe I can find the map what the b-17 pilots used back in 1940s? I would like to navigate the old fashioned way like in the 1940s! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  23. Hi, guys! Question for you, back in 1940s how did the b-17 pilot find their way from London, England to New York City, New York? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  24. Hi, guys! I got a question for anyone who knows about the b-17, I lean the mixture on all 4 engines as I gain altitude or no? Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
  25. Hi, eaglewing7! Okay, got it! Thanks! Cheers, Vincent
