  1. Disgusting! Absolute junk, really. How can you stand those visuals?
  2. Well, other than all the default Custom Scenery errors, your log.txt is pretty clean. It appears the Bell 407 plugins are all loading properly and I don't see any other possible conflicts. I noticed one of your AI aircraft is set to the Bell 407, but I don't know if that's really an issue. You might try reassigning your AI aircraft to something else. Make sure to click the button that tells X-Plane to save the AI assignments you've made. Again, not sure if that will make a difference, but it's worth a shot. I recommend updating your X-Plane app, too. That will get rid of all the "successfully loaded" notations in your log.txt.
  3. Without your log.txt file your guess is as good as ours. Please ATTACH your log.txt using the More Reply Options button below the Reply to this topic box. Don't copy and paste your log.txt. The only way we can even start to help you is with your log.txt file.
  4. ….and yet, Flash still does not work on iPhones. Not many people using Flash nowadays, but it's the principle. Now back to our regularly scheduled topic…...
  5. Seriously? There are tons of missing rivers and bodies of water in Montana alone! Don't get me wrong….I love X-Plane V9.7, but I don't mind flying V10, either. If you've been a long-time X-Plane user, you should know it is a growing and alive piece of software. Nonetheless, if you really want your voice to be heard, I suggest you drop Austin a note at austin@x-plane.com

    OOM-Not new?

Would you mind disabling both your EGHI and EGBJ scenery files and doing the same flight? I agree with Cameron that this probably has a lot to do with your rendering settings, coupled with some bad scenery. Either do as Cameron suggests with a Demo X-Plane install or go into your scenery_packs.ini and simply put _DISABLED right after SCENERY_PACK on your EGHI and EGBJ scenery listings. You say you've updated the payware, but it is still generating some egregious errors. To disable a scenery file for testing, the listing in your scenery_packs.ini should look like this: SCENERY_PACK_DISABLED Custom Scenery/Pilot Plus - EGHI Southampton Intl V1.2/ Good luck….again!

    OOM-Not new?

Doh!! I knew there was something else I missed in the log.txt. As Jim said, you can't very well diagnose a problem unless you have the log.txt that is generated at the end of the session you were flying. Nice catch, Jim.

    OOM-Not new?

Martin, I just discovered your EGHI scenery is apparently payware. I recommend copying the EGHI error messages from your log.txt and sending them to the designer. Payware scenery should be error free. It might be interesting to take a look at your scenery_packs.ini file. Would you mind posting that?

    OOM-Not new?

The first thing you should do is update to V10.35r2. Then you need to get rid of or fix your EGBJ - Gloucestershire v1.0 scenery and especially fix or get rid of your Pilot Plus - EGHI Southampton Intl V1.1 scenery. There are some nasty errors in that scenery package. Some people will tell you log.txt scenery errors are not cumulative, but the more errors you have in your log.txt, the worse your X-Plane will run. As more and more errors accumulate, X-Plane finally decides it has had enough and quits. I also suggest disabling your Global Scenery. I know that turns off all the default custom scenery, but just look at all the errors in KFRG alone. Disabling your Global Scenery will get rid of all those other scenery errors at the beginning of your log.txt. Try those things and see what happens. I don't really see any plugins issues. I'm not familiar with xplane-plugins.eBag, but it doesn't appear to be an issue. Good luck.
  10. Can you ATTACH your log.txt file to your next post? You can also e-mail me at winslowphoto@yahoo.com if you want. It doesn't appear anyone else is chiming in on this thread so it might be best to take it private. It still sounds to me like there is a power issue….or the plugin is not functioning properly. Is the problem occurring in EVERY aircraft, or just one or two? Have you tried changing the frequencies with the knobs on the aircraft panel? What happens when you do that?
  11. Is your radio panel plugged into your yoke or is it plugged into a powered USB port? If the lights just flicker, it sounds like you are not getting enough power to run the radio panel. If you are using the USB ports on your yoke, you need a Saitek power supply to power the USB ports. You can order a power supply directly from MadCatz or you can order it from the org store. Steve
  12. …and one more thing…. Looks amazing! Things are looking good for a sweet spring!
  13. Actually, here are some replacement sounds for the DHC-6 by RW Designs: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=26307
  14. Rob promises new sounds in an update coming soon! I agree….other than sounds, she's a pretty sweet aircraft!
  15. He hasn't even logged into this forum in over a year. Sad, because I actually prefer the way his plugin worked better than sparker's plugin. But for now, I think sparker's plugin is the only game in town for current operating systems and current X-Plane versions. You can download it at the link below: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14646
  16. Unless, of course, you're on short final…… Just sayin'…….
  17. It's still available for iPhone, iPod and iPad in iTunes for $4.99. Doesn't look like they're selling it for Android anymore. You might try sending a note to Laminar and ask them directly.
  18. You could buy X-Plane, again, from Steam and download it online, but you might as well buy (or borrow) an external DVD drive. It's cheaper to buy an external drive than to buy and download from Steam. You could try using USB memory jump drives (memory sticks) but you're still going to have to do a mirror of disc one. I think that disc is copy protected. Not sure about the rest of the discs. Best bet: buy an external drive. Apple's Super Drive is $79. You should be able to find one for less than $50. http://www.macmall.com/p/LG-Electronics-DVD-Drives/product%7Edpno%7E9538224%7Epdp.ibfeifd There are other ways that involve networking and putting your new iMac into target mode and downloading the install from your older Mac, but the easiest way is still buying an external drive.
  19. Check your scenery_packs.ini file that you will find in your Custom Scenery folder inside your X-Plane 10 folder. Make sure the KILM files are loading before any other conflicting scenery. In fact, if you have any other conflicting scenery, get rid of it. Needless to say, you've not installed it properly. You might want to ATTACH your log.txt file to your post so we can see what's going on with your X-Plane installation. Don't just copy and paste your log.txt. ATTACH the file to a post. Can't begin to help without the log.txt. All we can do is guess without it.
  20. Oh I totally agree with you! When I saw his response I thought to myself, "that's not a very private private message." Then again…..he's 16 and probably not apt to read things too thoroughly. Then again….I have a tendency to read things a bit hurriedly, too.
  21. I bet this is where Flyboy2's confusion comes from. Most of us know what you mean by a private message, but the"here in the forums" sounds like you want them to post it here.
  22. Credit card ready and willing!! Beautiful work, Pete!
  23. Doh!! I totally forgot about that option. I stand corrected. I've never tried it and totally forgot about it.
  24. I don't believe that's what the AI option does. AI aircraft are the additional aircraft that fly around you or taxi on the ground to create traffic for you. You still have to fly the plane of which you are in command. I don't believe you can just set up an AI plane and sit in the cockpit and let it do the flight for you. However, you CAN program the FMS or GPS with a flight plan, take off, set the autopilot, if your plane is so equipped, set up to intercept the ILS at your destination if there is one, and the plane will take you there and take you down to the runway, whereupon you retake control of the plane and land it and taxi to the tarmac.
  25. Great idea! What would you think about making it kneeboard size? Make it so you can fold it in half horizontally with all the information you currently have on the left side and then you could use the other side for writing your en route ATC instructions and frequency changes along with your en route times and altitudes. There's really no reason to use a full 8.5x11 sheet of paper just for clearance information. I've attached an example of a kneeboard navlog I use when flying on PilotEdge. I generate my flight plan using AOPA's online flight planner. I think you have to be an AOPA member to use it, but it's worth the $35 annual dues. I print the navlog in landscape mode so the right side of the paper is blank. If there isn't enough room at the bottom of the left side (under the navlog) to write down my clearance and other information, I flip the paper over and write on the blank side. I have a kneeboard strapped to my leg when flying on PilotEdge rather than using a desk to write on and that's why an 8.5x11 sheet doesn't make sense for me. The kneeboard makes my sim experience a little more realistic. navlog-kneeboard.pdf
