Hi, after this months of use i noticed that when the clouds layer is very thick (heavy overcast, may be also with rain) the performances are very low even at setting 2 of overcast quality. Sometimes seems to reduce framerate of 10/12 or more, and I need to switch to level one setting and reducing the experience of SMP. I usually have most of the options maximized, and even if I sometimes experience some fps drop, this is acceptable, but with heavy overcast the performances are really reduced. I tried to tweak settings, but it seems the plugin started to have some problems: changing settings a couple of time reduced the performances at a really low level, making the simulator "un-flyable". After reading some post here I did not find a solution so I need some advice... May be this problem is related to the small memory leak found in last days? What settings I need to tweak to fix this problem? I thought the quality of the textures could solve this but I have no performance improvement. So may be I need to reduce the size of the puffs? I'm sorry but I did not understand well this function and I did not notice what slider modifies what... The most strange thing is in any case that both CPU and GPU are not at a high load level, especially the GPU, when the overcast problem occurs. Can you clarify/have a look at this? I also suggest to explain more clearly what the puff-size sliders do in practical use and may be could be nice to have only one slider to set this option. My spec: -i7 3770k @4.6 -GTX 680 4GB overclocked -24 GB Ram -win 8.1 & x-plane 10 both 64 bit -1920x1200 single monitor. Thanks a lot. Sent from Tapatalk

What is wrong with steam? Sent from Tapatalk -
Probably in 2020 the classic 737 will be ready...lol... Sent from Tapatalk

I personally prefer a one aircraft but with different liveries to have the possibility to change liveries also during flight and to mantain a clearer folder organization...but it's all up to you! Your work seems very nice!!! Sent from Tapatalk

We're not talking about financial problems, but only about value. I do not have financial problems, but I started to learn what I can quite easily remove from my consumistic life during those years. X-plane and flight are a passion and I prefer to buy a smaller car than stop to spend my money in x-plane stuff or in less real flights... In my case I bought the product to "invite" the developers to continue to work on it, and not because I really considered it the right price for what it offered. And so I'm expecting bug fixing and a better implementation of the real weather for example, in future. And I'm confident this will happen. What seems strange to me is all the people that is simply saying "it's fantastic" "it's perfect"...and so on. This product has room to be improved and I think customers must insist on this point. Ha! So may be people critic like me could be one of the reason for a developer to keep on the good work. I know I was and I am a bit too critic, expecially for the price but uh...in my country money is starting to be a bit more important than in past years...economy looks very bad here...and this christmas reflects this situation! Sorry... Have a nice christmas.

SMP it's not soooo much great as you said. It is a great inprovement in X-Plane weather render engine, but It's still absolutely not perfect and there are still some problems...and there is much room for improvements. I think that, for the price, the developers MUST add new features and solve step by step all the problems found during those days of "public testing". I'm not an unsatisfied customer, but I'm expecting progressive updates and enhancements in near future.

Mmm yes...more than one year ago if I'm not wrong... I remember at the same time I also annunced to my parents I'll be dad soon...or later...and they are still waiting... I doubt REX for x-plane will be available soon...or at least not before another 1000 add-ons for prepar3d are realized. So I think the best is to enjoy SMP now!!! And may be trying to improve it. At the moment i agree with the fact the developers could at least start thinking about something like NOAA weather INCLUDED in the SMP plugin, so we can remove python and bla bla bla...and then, may be, if is possible, a better weather injector... This is the same problem i'm experiencing. Disabled hdr (only for testing), problem solved. I did not have this before installing skymaxx pro. But may be it coild be related to 10.25!?!? Sent from Tapatalk

Got a problem with strobo lights after installing SMP. It seems the red strobo (probably a NAMED_LIGHT) has a strange halon, like the billboard it's too big. I noticed when I loaded the Jar A320 and the fuel truck; the red blinking lights have this problem. Please check! Sent from Tapatalk

Hahaha 60$ for that? I'll never pay so much for that plane!

Ok, but you can load and use one OR the other. Not together.

Ok, for what I tested the plugin has been greatly improved, and I'm now able to use it with many settings maxed (mostly because I do not see great performance improvements if I put them lower), but I still have a couple of question: -Visibility of the clouds seems a bit too "short", and it seems to me that it does not change if I move the slider left or right...look at the screenshot (inbound SBGR with 58fps at the moment): it is related to the visibility distance set in X-Plane settings? Please explain...cause I have to definitely understand! -Rays of God are available in HDR? because it does not seems to me... -Shaders: I had installed a couple of upgrades BEFORE installing SMP: Sabach clouds (including shaders) and Sabach Sky Colors. I restored the default shaders and clouds to original ones, but not skycolors. It's ok? At the moment (after SMP installations) to me seems that the default skycolors are the Sabach one, and I'm ok with this, but what about the shaders? SMP uses it's own or not? For the rest, I think performances could be improved and optimized a bit more, and some other small tweaks could be done again, but at least you can consider me (at the moment) one of the satisfied customers. Thanks for your time.

HD-Mesh v2 and photosceneries does not interact...we have to wait for a new generated sceneries from v2 meshes. If you want to push your hardware use simheaven v1 meshes with simheaven photosceneries!

I did not resist and i reinstalled v1.1 ... From initial tests seems many problems are resolved. Hope this is the right time. Thanks for the quick update.

I'll check out when i'll be sure the expectations and announces are respected...so i'm waiting other users' reports. I do not want to loose my time without a reason. I'm still quite upset for having thrashed 40$ At the moment. Sorry.

Same for me. I solved removing SMP...and back to the old fashioned clouds. PS: the uninstaller of SMP does not put the original clouds at it's place again.

First off, the Sabach software uses intellectual property ripped off from the developers of REX for MSFS. Anyways, Sabach's add-on alters shaders within X-Plane. If you have this, you will need to fully uninstall this add-on, or re-install X-Plane fresh before using SkyMaxx Pro. Really? I had sabach shaders when first installed SMP...i have to try with original ones...

Well...may be i found part of the problem. I did something I had never done before...reverting to previous driver (NVIDIA GTX 680 4 Gb with 327.23 WHQL) gave a little boost in performances but also much better visual quality. Not a miracle but acceptable. The latest NVIDIA drivers (331 series) were absolutely not reliable and I can suppose that if I do a research I'll found some better optimized driver for OpenGL...

I did all the tests, nothing changed...well...I have to accept that running X-Plane in full detail with this plugin it's not possible. Period. Hope the plugin will be fixed and tweaked in future.

At least is possible to disable the taskbar on the right?

It was shadow for sure. I loaded LIMC with HDR on...
