TXGrunt Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 (edited) Not sure if its a bug or just me. When I am in a climb and N1 showing roughly 90%+, both FWD fuel pumps indicate low pressure. When the engines drop below 75% ish the fuel pressure lights turn off. Possible bug? Or am I doing it wrong? Thanks Edited May 3, 2016 by TXGrunt Quote
Nils Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 We model the fuel levels in the tanks with regards to pitch attitude and acceleration. If you are low on fuel in a tank and pitch up or accelerate, the fuel will rush aft in the tanks and uncover the pump standpipes. Quote
Litjan Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 This is realistic. The fwd pumps "uncover" if attitude or acceleration is high, the fuel surges aft. More prevalent the less fuel you have. This is the reason the master caution only triggers if both pumps run dry... Jan 1 Quote
TXGrunt Posted May 4, 2016 Author Report Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Ok it all makes sense now! Yes the center tank was empty on takeoff. Also, when the aircraft was level the fuel pressure lights turns off. I have to keep in mind that you guys really simulated everything! Thanks for the responses. Edited May 4, 2016 by TXGrunt Quote
