birdy.dma Posted May 2, 2016 Report Posted May 2, 2016 Left FD is off. Right FD is up. I should be able to fly with the AP on VOR-LOC with the NAV2 frequency. Do i miss something, or is it non implemented? Claude. Quote
birdy.dma Posted May 2, 2016 Author Report Posted May 2, 2016 Autopilot A. If i understand well, if i switch the AP from A to B, i could use NAV2. With both FD on, or only the right one? The tutorial flight 2 page 7 is unclear for me. Is FCC A (the master) = AP A? Quote
Morten Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 (edited) Think about it. If Autopilot A was receiving signals from TWO radios (two different VOR signals) at the same time, then which one should it choose to follow when you hit the VOR-LOC button? Edited May 3, 2016 by Morten Quote
birdy.dma Posted May 3, 2016 Author Report Posted May 3, 2016 (edited) Thank you, Of course. I have read somewhere (may be smartcockpit) that the transfer was done with FD. Both FD on = left side. One FD on = NAV of this side.. Edited May 3, 2016 by birdy.dma Quote
birdy.dma Posted May 3, 2016 Author Report Posted May 3, 2016 I am on ground, start engine running, NAV1 don't receive any frequency, NAV2 does. See pictures. Quote
Litjan Posted May 3, 2016 Report Posted May 3, 2016 Well, this has nothing to do with the FCC master - that only determines which of the two radios is being "slaved" to the autopilot. For example if FCC A is master, the autopilot will only track VOR´s or ILS´s that are tuned on NAV 1. However, the EHSI´s still display their respective radio signals, so you could show an ILS set on NAV 2 on EHSI 2 - the autopilot (or FD) simply wouldn´t track it. And autopilot trumps FD - so if FD 1 is master (FCC A) , but then you engage autopilot B, FCC B becomes master. Jan 1 Quote
birdy.dma Posted May 3, 2016 Author Report Posted May 3, 2016 Thank you for your time Jan. My bad, i am unclear. The pictures above are not related to the AP. I should have open an other thread. I am at LFMN, NAV1 and 2 on 109.20 (CGS). Only NAV 2 catch CGS. Probably not normal. Claude. Quote

Maybe you have random failures on (its on by default!) Jan Quote
