Do you have to first uninstall version 3 before installing version 3.1? Also I can't remember exactly the steps to install Sky Maxx. After unzipping the file, what do you do next?  The only executable is the "setup windows.exe".  Please help. Thank you.

I've done that. But it still shows version 3.0 not 3.1.2 when I am in X-Plane.

First off, there is no such thing as 3.1.2.

If you are not seeing 3.1 in the configuration screen then you are doing one of the following:

1.) Installing SkyMaxx Pro from an old 3.0 installer

or

2.) Incorrectly selecting your install folder for 3.1 in the installer

My suggestion:

Go to X-Plane/X-Aviation and run the SkyMaxx Pro uninstaller. Once done, delete every trace of a SkyMaxx Pro zip/installer you can find on your computer. Re-download the update from the X-Aviation website. Re-run the installer.

You run the installer.

I am enclosing screen shots. I uninstalled the previous version of the program and then unzipped the new file. When I opened X-Plane  the updated version of  SkyMaxx Pro doesn't appear. Where should it be? Should it have appeared in the right spot on it's own? I am following the download instructions for the latest version.

You're really confusing me. Your screenshots show it installed. What does the SkyMaxx Pro menu screen say when you access it under plugins?

What are you expecting to happen that apparently doesn't?

You say you unzipped the installer, but you didn't say that you actually ran the installer.

I suspect there's nothing but a settings file left in your SilverLining plugins folder, left over from your previous installation.

Don't just unzip it. Double-click the installer that gets unzipped to run it.

Not sure why. But it took the install after I tried it again on my second try today and I tried 3 times yesterday. The first 4 times it said it was installed but it wasn't. Who knows. I am backing up the system right now. I appreciate all your help Cameron.
