I just bought the 340 and took it up for its first flight. Fantastic simulation in every way! I especially find the interactive checklist helpful.

Occasionally I hear this whining noise, as if flaps are transitioning, or similar. But I did nothing to activate such an event, t anything else, I'm just flying along.

Looking forward to explore this aircraft in detail today!

The noise you are hearing is the hydraulic pump re-pressurizing the system.  When pressure drops below a certain psi, the hydraulic pump will activate, bringing the hydraulic pressure back up.  Hydraulic pressure leakage is very common in all Saab aircraft and can happen at any time.  So much so, that one of our testers said the ramp at the airport would be full of Saab "Mating calls" caused by the hydraulic pump.
