samen Posted August 22, 2010 Author Report Posted August 22, 2010 My first priority at this time is the Exterior and Flight model. If I can learn programming I will add those. However nothing any time soon.Yeah I wanted to write Alpha. The model is very low res but I know how to fix that and I will fix those next year. Quote
samen Posted August 22, 2010 Author Report Posted August 22, 2010 The pratt and whitney engine files have been uploaded to the .org Quote
flightime56 Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Wonderful, where will you post the liveries, here or the .org..... If Qantas and Jetstar is not in there can I do it? Quote
samen Posted August 23, 2010 Author Report Posted August 23, 2010 You can convert the liveries from FSX. Qantas and Jetstar are available only that you will need to wait for the GE version. It will be uploaded in a little while Quote
WombatBoy Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 Oh I already modified your plane into the GE variant with the engines still left over from the ABFW one...oops... Quote

samen Posted August 24, 2010 Author Report Posted August 24, 2010 Ok the GE version has been uploaded. There are a few issues with the paint file but I am trying to fix that. Quote
Nova Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 A haven't seen this posted so: The right wing isn't dropping a shadow. Only the engine is visible.Edit: Ohh, and winflex isn't working, until you takeoff. No matter how fast you are on ground, wings don't move up until you lose ground contact.Edit 2: And another thing: Winflex can be negative in air, if you trim too much. But why should the wingtips move downwards, when you trim? There are no controlling surfaces there, which could lead in such a reaction. ???Edit 3: Wingflex is working on ground, but only if flaps are used. 1° is already enough. Never the less, its a bug. samen Posted August 25, 2010 Author Report Posted August 25, 2010 I posted about the shadow.Tell Austin thatTell Austin thatI used a different approach to this. I dont know how to make plugins until then I have to rely on these datarefs. I have a seperate idea as well to correct most of these things but since I dont have a computer to run x-plane and blender we will have to wait for next June. I also wrote regarding the re-animating the wings next year. Quote
Nova Posted September 3, 2010 Report Posted September 3, 2010 Normal maps seem to be giving too much problem and Dan also emphasized that. Just delete the two paint files wing_NML and Main_NMLThis fixed my problem with the lightning i had (see page 18 of "what did you fly today?"). So i gave this bird a try.And i was really surprised how it flew. I put in fuel and some payload, so it had a weight of 400000lbs but i could climb with 4000+fpm without losing speed at all. And the approach speed was 110, with slight nose up, like 2° or so, full flaps. With 120 knots, i already had negative degrees Is this really the way an A332 is flying? It feels like it has to much power and way too much lift.I know 400000 isn't the max payload, but it just feels really wierd. :-\ Quote
samen Posted September 3, 2010 Author Report Posted September 3, 2010 v7 Flightmodel, v7 Airfoils and I didnt have time to improve that. Already talked about this previously Quote
samen Posted November 7, 2010 Author Report Posted November 7, 2010 I have just posted an update. This takes care of some bugs.http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=11267 Quote
dpny Posted November 10, 2010 Report Posted November 10, 2010 Will there be updates for the PW/GE versions, too? Quote
samen Posted November 11, 2010 Author Report Posted November 11, 2010 Yes most probably but they will have to wait. I have got mid-terms coming up and I cant spend much time on this plane right now. Hope everyone understands. Quote

samen Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 Meant to post this earlier:There have been some changes:I am starting over with the animations. It is getting beacon and landing light reflections on the plane. Nav lights will be like they are on the x737.There will be new textures. There will be a 3D cockpit. The A330-300 will be made followed by the A340-300 and the A340-200 and finally the A345/A346.I am hoping for very good compatibility with VasFMC of the aircrafts. There will be a flightmodel overhaul.New cabin interior and no more painted on windows. Many parts will be re-modelled.Some other stuff that I am forgetting. And Finally I am getting some other people to work on this project with me. samen Posted December 11, 2010 Author Report Posted December 11, 2010 The Cargo and Passenger doors now open by manipulators. You need to be in 3D cockpit mode to do that but you can still activate them by using the Shift+Fx Keys. Quote
samen Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 The Logo lights are now working. They are operable by a button in the cockpit. I will post screenshots when all of the lights are done. Quote
samen Posted December 12, 2010 Author Report Posted December 12, 2010 The wings apart from the Lights and the Wing Flex have been done. I will get to the latter tomorrow. Quote
samen Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 I have finished the wings with only the Nav, Strobe and Landing Lights left over there which my texturers will do. I guess now I should make it formal:The X-Plane Paintshop has offered their services for the future development of all textures of the A330/A340 series that I am converting. They will also make liveries and texture the 3D cockpit. Quote

samen Posted December 13, 2010 Author Report Posted December 13, 2010 Actually we will be changing the UV mapping and increasing the quality if the textures greatly so the FSX liveries will become feeble. Quote
Gjalp Posted December 13, 2010 Report Posted December 13, 2010 Hi Samen, once that is all done will ou posting a link from here or do I have to go to the "other" place and download there?Slainte,AndyNZCH Quote
samen Posted December 14, 2010 Author Report Posted December 14, 2010 Well I do not want to post another beta. The next version will be with a 3D cockpit and well that takes time. I will see where all of this leads us. Quote
