giacer Posted May 7, 2010 Report Posted May 7, 2010 HelloAfter the update I found a problem with the fuel tank selectorI mean, if I select the C400 left or right tank, changing the plane I will not be able to change the fuel selector again, it automatically returns to the position of C400, in the video give a better idea.I put the right fuel selector in the C400, and using the Cessna for example ,changing the fuel switch it back on the right.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knYZvJpE5akfuel001.mov Quote

I started up the sim an loaded the C400 and set the fuel tank to "right". I then loaded the stock C172 and the fuel tank was set at both and I was able to set it to left, right, both, or off with no problem. So, as you can see, I am not seeing the same behavior. Can you tell me a little more about your setup? Are you using XP 9.50, or something earlier? Also are you running on a Mac or Windows? If anyone else can test this I would appreciate it.Jim Quote
giacer Posted May 7, 2010 Author Report Posted May 7, 2010 I'm sorry Jim, I forgot the main thing :Windows XP 32, X plane 9.50 rc3, after the patch did 'nt work, I am sure because I love this plane but I also use two other planes and I discovered the problem with trying just another plane, I got the menu set to start cold and dark , I tryed to flight with another aircraft and i haven't able to start the engine about the problem reported. Can I try to remove the patch and repeat the test ?Giampiero Quote

giacer Posted May 8, 2010 Author Report Posted May 8, 2010 Hi Jim! i fount the problem! ;Dwhen I open the C400 in plugins admin are 2 files: 1.0 and 1.1note: image there is a mistake I made the screen without check on 1.1, but obviously it is a mistakewhen I change planeI still have 1.1 live if I remove the check, I can change the fuel selector!I can go even so, no problem, now that I know answer, but if you solve a solution, I'm here ;D Quote
Zach Decou Posted May 8, 2010 Report Posted May 8, 2010 I'm probably not the one to speak to this, but I think if you are seeing your c400 plugins in your plugin admin while another aircraft is loaded, it is an indication that you have your c400 plugins in the wrong folder. The c400 plugin needs to be in JGX_C400_1.10/plugins/JGX_C400_1.10 and not in X-Plane/Resources/Plugins. You should only move plugins to the latter file path if the installation documentation instructs you to do so.Hope I'm on the right track here...By the way, the update email did not instruct me to delete the JGX_C400_1.0 plugin folder when moving the new plugin folder into place. Until future clarification, I will have both plugin folders in place simultaneously.Zach Quote

JGregory Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 My problem with the fuel selector is that after setting it left OR right, it returns to off! I'm totally unable to fly the C400!This should only occur if the aircraft has not been properly "authorized".When did you buy the Corvalis? Quote
Cameron Posted September 2, 2011 Report Posted September 2, 2011 My problem with the fuel selector is that after setting it left OR right, it returns to off! I'm totally unable to fly the C400!Dennis,As Jim has explained, this is the result of an de-activated aircraft. You are:A) Due for a periodic activation check-uporB ) Have re-installed or moved the C400 to a computer or HD without running the installer itself. If it is option A, it's likely that you do not have Gizmo installed. Perhaps by your own reasonings. Until you re-install the product or Gizmo itself, this will not work. Quote
dklxplane Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I bought the C400 at its initial release, and have updated it with each email notification (v1.3 now). I have Gizmo installed, and recall that there was an upgrade when I bought X-Aviation's T-28 and/or T-34. But the C400 has not been working longer than that. Some aircraft do not work with Gizmo (Fly J Sim's Dash 8 Q400 for one) and I have to remove Gizmo from the plugins folder before starting X-Plane. How do I re-authorize the C400, please? Quote

dklxplane Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 I've reinstalled the C400 and the fuel tank selector now works and I am able to fly the plane. However I've found a recurring problem: the brakes do not work, and a new problem: the softkeys on the PFD do not work.I've had problems in the past with saved situations, if I park and shut down the C400 as you would with a real plane, on startup the brakes would not work. However if I opened a new C400 via the Open Aircraft menu in X-Plane, the brakes DID work. But now with the 1.3 update, they do NOT work. I can reset my pedal brakes via the X-Plane via the Settings:Joystick, Keys and Equipment menu, but they still do not work with the C400. I have not had this problem with any other aircraft. As far as the PFD softkeys, whichever one I press turns grey but nothing else happens. It opens with the Traffic, Topo, Terrrain, Strmscp, etc. page, but I can not get back to the page that allows me to set the LOC1, LOC2, GPS display or the inset views. Any ideas? Quote
Cameron Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Hi, there,I bought the C400 at its initial release, and have updated it with each email notification (v1.3 now). I have Gizmo installed, and recall that there was an upgrade when I bought X-Aviation's T-28 and/or T-34. But the C400 has not been working longer than that. That would make sense. 1.3 is required to work with other X-Aviation products. Some aircraft do not work with Gizmo (Fly J Sim's Dash 8 Q400 for one)...This does not make sense. Fly J Sim's Q400 is coded in Gizmo. It HAS to work with Gizmo!I've reinstalled the C400 and the fuel tank selector now works and I am able to fly the plane. However I've found a recurring problem: the brakes do not work, and a new problem: the softkeys on the PFD do not work.Do you have two versions of the Corvalis plugin running in your plug-in admin? This sounds very odd...Brakes are not something we control AT ALL with this software.I've had problems in the past with saved situations, if I park and shut down the C400 as you would with a real plane, on startup the brakes would not work. I have not had this problem with any other aircraft.Saved situations may cause issues with this aircraft because there are many custom drefs that X-Plane is not used to dealing with by default. Drefs are likely not being correctly saved in your situation setup. Quote
dklxplane Posted September 3, 2011 Report Posted September 3, 2011 Sorry I somehow reposted my last post. I bought both the Dash 8 and the Challenger 300 jet on the same day and confused the two: it is the Challenger 300 that requires removal of Gizmo in order to run. Sorry.I restarted X-Plane and used the Plugin Administrator to see what plugins loaded. I found only one jgxC400v1.2 but think in the past I might have seen two? Anyway, the brakes are now working again and the PDF is back to normal. I may not have restarted X-Plane after reinstalling the C400 v1.3, that's all I can think of. Thanks for your help, I now look forward to flying my favorite GA aircraft again! Quote
