Douglas DC-3 Version 1.3 Update Released!

Hello, all,

This will serve as a formal forum announcement that we have released the version 1.3 update for the Douglas DC-3. All customers who have purchased the Douglas DC-3 up till now have been sent an e-mail by X-Aviation with complete installation instructions on how to update your product. We have made this a very simple process! For those that purchase the Douglas DC-3 from today forward, your purchased download will already be updated to version 1.3 for you.

What if I didn't get the update e-mail?

If you did not receive your update e-mail don't fret! X-Aviation has updated our system to allow all customers to update with ease, regardless of whether you received an e-mail for the update! Here's what to do:

1. Login to your X-Aviation account here: https://www.x-aviati...talog/login.php

2. View your past order history invoice that contains the Douglas DC-3 purchase on it.

3. At the bottom of the invoice you will find a blue highlighted link to your update that says: "Douglas DC-3".


There are some important fixes and requests implemented in this update.

The following is a list of additions/fixes included:
 
Quick reminders:

• X-Plane 10 compatible only
• 64-bit compatible only

On the surface changes:

• Fixed compass direction
• Oil pressure changes

Under the hood changes:

• Optimizes code and brings compatibility fixes to core plugin

This may just be me but, I note that now the compass and oil problems have been fixed, I can no longer change the Barometer settings.

I it stuck on 3018 and although the knob to change it show the two circular +/- arrows, nothing happens.

 

Am I the only one with this problem?

You are not the only  one. I have the same problem. If you are running Python scripts there is QNH script. This will change the QNH in the DC-3.

Small update.  I've looked into the animation of the QNH of both variants, and there is nothing suggesting why the wheel version isn't working.  So I plan on copying a section of the float variant obj file that involves the QNH to the wheel variant obj file and hopefully this will fix it.

You are not the only one. I have the same problem. If you are running Python scripts there is QNH script. This will change the QNH in the DC-3.

Hi all, just picked up the DC3  during the sale and I can't adjust the barometer either, nor can I adjust the gauge backlighting and the radios won't turn. or am I missing something? If it makes any difference the SAAB works perfect.

We are aware of a few small issues with the update and they have been addressed and are being looked into.  The fixes will not take as long as the Saab update (which was a lengthy one due to heavy optimizations in code).

If there are other support issues, please post them in their own thread.
