jettojig Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Converted Chicago O'hare and Dubai. Oooh, whose O'hare? I've been trying to find one to convert but worried the FSDT one will be a bust as they usually are... Quote
x-plane 123 Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Nice shots Ryan. How much work did you need to do on Dubai? I'm thinking about purchasing it soon. Oooh, whose O'hare? I've been trying to find one to convert but worried the FSDT one will be a bust as they usually are... I don't know whose KORD it is, but i'm assuming you know Butnaru is updating his O'Hare (and KMIA/KLGA too)? If it's anything like his Newark or Phoenix, it will probably be much nicer than a converted one. Quote
jettojig Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 I can answer the Dubai question - it's probably one of the easiest conversions. Maybe a little bit of LOD editing to stop things fading away but otherwise it is great! I didn't know butnaru was updating those though! If so I'm very excited, his recent sceneries have been excellent. Quote

Essentially you can keep it at v2 or even v1 via tweaking the ui..... Quote

I do have the latest imac 5k retina full config (32G, 4.0 Ghz intel, amd m295x 4G vram). i think we mac guys need that "metal promises" to multiply our performance 4 times Quote

Mario Donick Posted June 15, 2015 Report Posted June 15, 2015 What is the display in the lower left corner of your screenshot?(fps + something else) That's the display of AutoLOD (slightly modified in size and appearance). AutoLOD automatically ensures that your FPS are > 19 by adjusting the LOD of the visible objects (on my weak computer, it has success most of the time; sometimes, as on this screenshot, graphic settings are too high that even AutoLOD can't help anymore). It also allows you to enable or disable AA on the fly. Quote
