zymurg Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Isn't there a Shuttle (Enterprise) on the USS Intrepid (Aircraft Carrier) in NYC? never say never. Although it wasn't exactly 'landed' there. lol http://www.csmonitor.com/var/ezflow_site/storage/images/media/content/2012/0606-space-shuttle-enterprise-intrepid/12768209-1-eng-US/0606-space-shuttle-enterprise-intrepid_full_600.jpg Edited February 11, 2013 by zymurg 1 Quote
Flying_pig Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 Funny you should mention that i was thinking about putting this as the description for my screenshots "when the intrepid heard they were getting a space shuttle they didn't expect it to be delivered like this" also here are a few screenshots of me landing a Cessna in a 68mph crosswind at night note the only reason the weather is displayed as green is do to the storms setting being at zero (since i wasn't in the clouds anyways)Here's a screenshot after setting the time to day Quote

skiflyzander Posted February 12, 2013 Report Posted February 12, 2013 Testing out 10.20rc1 as we speak! I've noticed improved frames and the A320neo seems a little bit more stable. Maybe that's just me though! Quote
cruster Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 AW139 at VNPL That mountain range in the background is incredible. Nice shot! Quote
john82088 Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Wow!! That is an incredible picture. John Quote
JazAero Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 (edited) Thisis an A4 E Skyhawk This is the only aircraft that I have flown in X-Plane for over a year now and it is one I have developed. it is 90% complete all that's left to do is map some cockpit instruments over my 3-D geometry and I can offer this for sale to the community. Just thought i'd add this is an actual Xplane screenshot with slightly darkened background. Edited February 17, 2013 by JazAero 5 Quote
john82088 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Nice pic Zymurg! Are those default x-plane clouds? If so, what do you have the clouds slider set at (ex. 45%). Quote
zymurg Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 John, not quite sure what you mean by 'cloud slider'. I have 'lo cirris' clouds set for 10,000 ft. This is XP9 default clouds Quote
edwin Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Cloud slider is a part of v10's cloud system zymurg--it's a totally different concept from v9 Quote
john82088 Posted February 15, 2013 Report Posted February 15, 2013 Very nice for version 9. I guess I never played with the settings enough. Quote
edwin Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Took a trip back--Clouds certainly were a different kettle of fish in v9--similar too but better than MFS (In my opinion) There was a greater variety--30+ distinct types, but I'm not certain I prefer them to v10's offerings The misty effects were cool but laid bad on the land--flew through sheets of the stuff And the Fluffy ones--just how many times do just a couple of formations get repeated at various sizes in this shot? Really loved v9 and thought it was great--until v10 came along. Still hasn't gone down in my opinion....... 2 Quote
zymurg Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Really amazing shots, all of them. I go back and forth between XP9, XP10.11 and XP10.20r1 and for scenery right now (I am working with Bamboo Cougar and some others to get The Iditarod 2013 Adventure Challenge ready for both XP9 & XP10) that I prefer XP 9 because of Winter World, although She Pooley has done a fantastic job with "SimpleSeasons". I have some screenshots posted here in XP 10 as well. Thanks for your comments. Quote
Gjalp Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I used to run XP9 all the time and bought RexPlane for the weather generation, and I recommend those that are still flying XP9 to get it. Slainte, AndyNZCH Quote

niebieski Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 So which GPU did you go for?? Gigabyte GTX 680 4 GB, factory overclocked. Coming from Asus GTX 580 1,5 GB i've noticed around 10-15 fps more + i can run 2xSSAA+FXAA all day long now Quote
