Goran_M Posted July 30, 2010 Report Posted July 30, 2010 Oh really Theo, it's that easy?! Could you do high res textures for all the cubes I release to the .org? "Special Features - Solid surfaces; Vertical and horizontal dimensions; high coefficient drag rating;" ;DMaybe I should add a feature list to my sundowner.Correctly positioned wings. Spinning propeller. Working Radios. Wheels rotating as they should. Etc.... Quote
OlaHaldor Posted August 2, 2010 Author Report Posted August 2, 2010 Thanks Ola, you're the Pro so I think I'm looking at a very long time to construct anything as good looking as your stuff! I'll be wrapped to construct a cube... ;DI've never used any 3D design software, and I've just seen the full price of Lightwave 3D, approaching a thousand bucks is a little steep for my exploration.LightWave 10 is coming Q4, before that time you can grab a full version copy of the current version and get LightWave 10 for free when it's released, for $695. I know it's not free, but oh boy.. The modeler is just so incredible..The reason it's taken so much time to model the Alicante scenery is because I've spent loads of hours just trimming minor details. I want to deliver a high quality scenery nobody's seen anything like before. If I can pull it off is another story. So far, I'm satisfied with the modeling. The biggest issue is textures. I'll probably get 3D Coat on top of this in order to manually handpaint everything thus making sure things are just perfect. Then again, I need to know how far I can push the poly count before it's bogging anyones system. Quote
Simmo W Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 thanks Ola. as I'm a noob I'll start with something simpler. see my last post herehttp://forums.x-pilot.com/index.php?topic=1059.msg9263#msg9263sheesh, I've already had feedback that this masterpiece could be too complex! I'll be testing on the weekend. I really enjoyed whipping it up with sketchup in 20 mins.if u need help testing, don't hesitate to ask. Quote
