PanekMs Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 Hi, I bought IXEG month ago, and i have problem with it. So the sounds in the cockpit are speed up, not all cuz i bought mango studios sound pack for it. I have xplane version 12.3 and IXEG version is 1.5.2 X-Plane 2025-12-18 13-05-27.mp4
Litjan Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 Hmm, that is strange, I have not heard that before - do you have time acceleration on, maybe?

The sounds are currently still using the OpenAL, so if that is not installed correctly or something is interfering with playing sounds on your system, this is beyond our control. I wish I could tell you how to fix it or do something on our side to fix this...but for now I can´t. Good luck, Jan
antonvla Posted Friday at 12:38 AM Report Posted Friday at 12:38 AM Just bought it today and Im having the same problem

antonvla Posted Friday at 03:03 AM Report Posted Friday at 03:03 AM If I may ask, have you been able to replicate this problem/solve it Mr., Litjan?
antonvla Posted Friday at 04:46 AM Report Posted Friday at 04:46 AM I have it partially fixed with the ftsim soundpack, most of the alerts are still sped up as well as a lot of other things, however there is no more static and some sounds are back to normal, Would really love an update on the FMOD sound system, but I understand you are hard at work, and probably don't love people like me sticking our noses where they do not belong.

No problem with noses sticking out anywhere . But you are right, the FMOD transition is not progressing right now due to other things in life taking precedence and the current sound application works fine for the vast majority of users - to the point of where I am going to say that if it does not, something is not set up correctly in your hardware/operating system.

You are most definitely right, and real life is always more important. Id be curious to find out what I have done wrong, and I will most definitely be trying it on another device, to see if something is off on my end. I do hope to solve this issue and wish you the best. Once again thank you for the information, and I wish you luck with with whatever is going on, best regards Edited Friday at 11:42 PM by antonvla Litjan cant take messages

Well, it seems you are completely right with it being a thing on my end. Tried it on my macbook, and my spouse's windows laptop - both of which are working fine. Id be curious to know what OP's computer specs were as it might be an issue with a specific hardware (for me an I5-12600kf and an msi b760m mobo) those two would be the culprits of a hardware audio problem, now time to see if these have any known issues with openAL. 1
antonvla Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Couldn't find much information online about audio issues with either the Motherboard or CPU, Updated my audio drivers but alas, no luck. I will update my BIOS some time over the weekend and see if that was an issue. After that im not sure what to do. The plane is great in all other ways - but this audio issue is really hampering it, I will let you know when I have more info, but I am not really sure what to do next. 1

Sound is getting updated to fmod. Current problem is known for some not all. Fewer people working on it so will take time. Edited 2 hours ago by mjrhealth
