AF380 Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 Hello Fellow pilots! Ive been browsing around and im sure all of you know that American airlines is going to buy US Airways. Since American got itself a new livery, do you think that if US Air becomes a part of One World with American, that American airlines will gain the use of A330s in there paint scheme or US Air gaining the 777 in theirs? what do you all think? Cameron Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 It's US Airways buying American, not American buying US Airways. They are merging and keeping the American name, but US Airways management will run the show. One World will be the alliance of choice. All aircraft will be painted in a new paint scheme, and it has not yet been finalized which livery (either an entirely new one, or the new AA one) will become the brand of the new airline. 2 Quote
Orcair Posted May 4, 2013 Report Posted May 4, 2013 Well that was a great response. As well Parker will be the CEO. Horton will be on the board but will be leaving soon I believe. It is quite funny to finally start seeing the American livery on airbuses. 1 Quote
