The nosewheel steering system needs the wheel to actually be centered or nearly so for the actuators to engage. If I had to guess (since guessing is all I can do), your nosewheel was turned one direction or the other, preventing the system from clicking into place. If you taxied forward a bit, or got a tow from a tug, it should have straightened out which would allow it to engage.

I there !

I have reinstalled my CL650 and now I can't use the NWS with my Saitek rudder pedal (I was able to use it before with the yaw axis). 
I know it's not the "good" way use it but I feel more cumfortable with.

What's the setting to adjust ?

There’s no setting. Nose wheel axis mapping is auto-detected, and IIRC defaults to Yaw until dedicated NWS is used.
