mike10 Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) Hello, I purchased the crj-200 today and I am running x-plane 10.20 and I can't even complete a test flight.. sometimes it crashes to desktop before i start my engines, other times I can get it into the air and it crashes. I read the sticky about crashes and I erased the few plugin's I had, and I tried re installing the 200.. I also noticed the memory usage is slightly over 3 gigs would that be a problem? This is my log, is there anything else I can provide that can help? Thanks in advanceLog.txt Edited December 31, 2012 by mike10 Quote
Cameron Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Sounds like you are having memory exhaustion issues.A few things to try:1. Re-name your Custom Scenery folder to Custom Scenery_old2. Create an empty folder in place of it called Custom Scenery3. Lower your resolution setting and restart X-Plane.After these steps does the problem persist? Quote

These crashes happen within 15 mintues so I should know soon. Edited December 31, 2012 by mike10 Quote
mike10 Posted December 31, 2012 Author Report Posted December 31, 2012 Ok, I tried renaming the Custom scenery folder and I also tried cutting down my resolution.. still having crashes.. One thing I noticed is that even with x-plane shut down the resource monitor shows that my computer is using 2.0 gigs of memory.. X-plane appears to be using 1.3 to 1.5 gigs? For a total of 3.5 used when x-plane is running Quote
Cameron Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Hi, Mike, I've changed your download to version 1.4.5. Please download this, install, and see if things change for you. Quote

X-Plane is running in 32-bit mode, so it can't access anymore than the 3GB of ram you see already in use.Ok tried a flight with the 1.4.5 version.. Worked perfect flew some circuits around KPVD Only one issue.. I am very new to x-plane so I don't think this is related to the plane.. I used real world weather and it's a bit windy here, but the plane was being blown all over the place like it was in severe wind shear.. I had to tone the weather down a bit Quote

Orcair Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 You could call it "X-Weather". Provides clear skies.... oh wait we can do that already. darn. Quote

Cameron Posted December 31, 2012 Report Posted December 31, 2012 Hi, Harfang, I have changed your download as well. That said, based on your CPU and GPU as well as the fact you have no issues in X-Plane 9, I'm not sure this will solve your issues in 10. Your system will be rather taxed with X-Plane 10 no matter what. Quote

For a total of 3.5 used when x-plane is running The resource monitor is not a reliable indication of _virtual_ memory usage.See item 14 of the X-Plane 64bit FAQ: http://www.x-plane.com/?article=x-plane-64-bit-faq Quote

BTW the 1.4.5 version is working perfect for me.. Love the plane and X-plane now LOL I figured out why my plane was wobbling at times.. I thought the yaw damper was on when it was lit up.. Plane flys a lot better now, with the dampner on. Edited January 1, 2013 by mike10 Quote

I think that there is a bug with the plugin of the last version Best regards Quote

I think that there is a bug with the plugin of the last versionGlad you're flying again ok! But IMHO, it wasn't a "bug" with the plugin of the last version, more a case of your system OS 32-bit memory limits and CPU/GPU, Cos lots of us have had no major problems with that plugin. cessna729. mike10 Posted January 1, 2013 Author Report Posted January 1, 2013 (edited) What do I need to do to my system so I can use the newest version of the CRJ.. I have a I-5 2500k Clocked to 4.5 with 8 gigs of ram and a 560TI card.. runs FSX with GEX,UTX,as2012 for textures, opusfsx for weather and the PMDG NGX no problems I am thinking of upgrading my graphics card for x-plane to something like a 680, would that work better? Cameron Posted January 1, 2013 Report Posted January 1, 2013 It's not a bug ok but it would be cool updates work too for 32 bits system ...It does depending on your hardware and how you have things configured in X-Plane. Quote
