Often when files go missing for me, I accidentally drop them into the wrong folder whendragging and dropping. File searches will often pull them up or go the folders you remember using and open them up one at a time to see if anything looks familier.

I can't do a system restore...argh. I know it's important to set them up and now have proof of their usefulness.
