Greetings. After having multiple issues with my Win10 install I elected to take the "upgrade" to Win11. This may not have been my wisest move however it appears I am stuck with it.

I am now having numerous issues with controlling the autoflight/autopilot. it simply does not work as it did with Win10. Basically behaving for lack of better words like it is out of control.

Selecting on with CMD then nothing else will engage such as HDG, LNAV, VS etc. Have tried all the autopilot engage switches. When selecting FD my side (captain's) is turned on first.

The disengage bar is up. Have tried selecting it down then up. No change.

Or try selecting HDG, it show selected etc then pressing CMD and then it lights up disconnecting HDG.

I'm a retired pilot with some knowledge here so i am bewildered. Admittedly it has been awhile since flying your B737.

I did redownload, install and go flying again and no change.

I actually went through the Capt Mike Ray manual again last night trying to figure out what i might be doing wrong if the problem was me and not the system as i never flew this machine.

With the latest update of XP12 from laminar there is now excessive turbulence in my XP12 and I simply can't find where to turn it off and wonder if this wild turbulence if messing with the autopilot. If anyone knows how to turn it off please share the info.

Any assistance will be appreciated. I'd like to buy your citation but need to know first whether the problem is with my Win11 install or something else (perhaps my lack of knowledge).

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

switching to Win11 should not cause any problems like this - but may the configuration of your joysticks is off center now and this will prevent engagement of the autopilot - just like in the real aircraft. The autopilot will only engage if the yoke is not deflected.

Let me know if this helped?

Cheers, Jan
