Unable to uncage the standby altimeter

How is this done?

Pressing the uncage button doesn't uncage it.

I don't know if I fully understand what issue you are seeing. The standby gyro must be turned on from the switch located near the gear handle and light controls. If that isn't the issue, please upload screenshots or record a video showing what is going on.
