woweezowee
Had 4 scenery folders with this issue, but only after installing 10.04 beta2.this error is new to me.…
eaglewing7
It might be that what the scenery author did was place an airport beacon on top of a lighthouse to simulate it, but now X-Plane 10 only wants beacons to be located near airports?Try going into the airport data file with a text editor and removing the beacon as it says, or post the file here and see if someone can figure out the problem.Edit: Is this an error that causes a CTD, or can you fly once you click on "understood"? sixgun
I had the same problem with "Airports of the West" on a half-dozen of the listed airports. It was always beacons or windsocks. Deleting just the offending items from the apt.data file left the airports relatively intact, for the moment. Later I'll work on reinstalling the deleted items. Initially I just wanted XP10 to load without crashing. Now it does.
Cameron
Looks like Beta 3 fixes this. Just released.
sixgun
Best-laid plans, and all that. I had things working in Beta 2 with minimal deletions. Beta 3 is now a nest of bad windsocks, beacons and ramp starts. XP10 won't load, and requires a force quit to exit. I believe I'll spend the afternoon in XP9. At some point it'll get squared away.
