sylveon Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 When starting the challenger, and entering the FBO, I get a warning that says that the gizmo plugin wasn't found. Quote
Pils Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 Mac user? Apple Silicon? Use Rosetta. If not, post your Log.txt from X-Plane. Quote

grtskydog Posted February 22 Report Posted February 22 That did the trick...thanks! Funny thing is, I still don't see Gizmo64 in the plugins. I guess that's why I get paid to fly them, not program them. Quote
spearlman Posted March 13 Report Posted March 13 Hello, @Ben Russell. Any ETA on porting Gizmo64 to macOS-arm native? It's the only plugin forcing me to use Rosetta. Another suggestion while I'm at it. I'm not sure if this is a Gizmo choice or an X-Aviation one, but might you consider making license checks less aggressive? Every 2 weeks seems unnecessary to me. License checks could happen on first activation and subsequently on updates (not update checks, but actual updates). Quote

Reading a little more, looks like Gizmo is just a general purpose Lua integration plugin, and it looks like the license stuff is done by Gizmo only because that's how X-Aviation has implemented it. Please disregard my comments re: license activation. Quote
edsn Posted August 4 Report Posted August 4 (edited) I just opened x-plane 12 and tried to open Hot Start 650 but got the "please reinstall aircraft/Gizmo64" warning too. I tried reinstalling Hot Start 650 3 times with the same error showing up again. I am using an Apple M3 iMac that I just purchased. Any ideas for this problem? Edited August 4 by edsn Quote

edsn Posted August 5 Report Posted August 5 I went to terminal and entered "softwareupdate - - install-rosetta" and then reinstalled Hot start 650 and got same warning saying it can't find Gizmo64. Hot Start 650 worked great on my M2 iMac so what's the problem? Quote
