fmfmichael Posted March 11, 2022 Report Posted March 11, 2022 Hey, I purchased the SR20 with the G1000 but have never been able to get the aircraft to actually start, in the sim. I'm not sure what could be keeping it from running but the manual didn't have anything in it that I could use, nor could any of my knowledge of the real aircraft. I'm hoping to get some help with it. Thanks, Mike Quote
Lon Posted March 12, 2022 Report Posted March 12, 2022 Try setting the throttle at a very low power -- lower than you would in a real SR20. If the engine doesn't even crank, try recharging the plane's battery. 1 Quote
Coop Posted March 12, 2022 Report Posted March 12, 2022 To add onto that, also be careful not to flood the engine. 2-3 seconds of priming should be sufficient. If you do flood the engine, perform the flooded start procedure (throttle full, mixture cutoff) to clear the engine. Quote
fmfmichael Posted March 27, 2022 Author Report Posted March 27, 2022 I unchecked the "wear and tear" setting, as well as the persistent settings option, then "fixed all systems" and "recharged the battery". It still wouldn't work, but after closing and restarting xplane, I did the extremely low throttle setting trick again and it started right up. Thanks for the help. Quote
