Alright sorry that I have been really stubborn about doing the demo try.  It's just that I had a perfectly fine, working version of X-Plane, and now, noooo!

So, I downloaded the demo, no crashes.  I am now convinced that this isn't a Lion problem.

What's the next step?  I have already added and subtracted plugins one by one, problem aircraft one by one.

Would the log.txt from the demo be of help?  I compared them and there was nothing significantly different.

Cheers

Remove all aircraft, plugins, and custom scenery. Put in a default plane (like the Cirrus), see if it works. If not, I think your next step would be to re-install X-Plane.

EDIT:  Also, one more thing; If Gizmo has so many conflicts with other plugins and planes, why can't it be used in an aircraft specific plugin folder?  For example, the x737 plugin.

Because that's not what I want for it. Long term objectives at play.

Right. Why try and conquer X-Plane one aircraft at a time when you can do them all at once?  ;D ;D ;D

Alright here's what I did.  I took out all my aircraft, all my plugins, all my scenery, everything.  Deleted that x-plane folder, and re installed.  I added plugins back one by one and scenery and aircraft all at one time.

The result? No crashes, yet.  What was wrong is beyond me!

Good, I hope it continues to work out for you.  :)
