Even after applying the FPS fix laid out with the last update, I continue to have performance issues with this aircraft. Upon takeoff, I'm at a solid 35-40 FPS. About 10 minutes into the flight, my FPS will suddenly drop, and then struggle to maintain 20. My current specs are I-7 7700HQ 2.80GHz, 16GB RAM, 1060. I've done some research and my machine has 4 Core, and 8 Thread/Core. The fix indicates you should use 2 less Cores and Threads than you have. Based on what my machine has, what number should I be using?

6.

But you probably have it overloaded with ortho scenery and are hitting VRAM contents / fragmentation and system bus overload trying to push all the data around.

Drop the texture quality slider down.

You also haven't made any mention of what kind of screen your using. People expect max texture settings on 4K+ screens with no cost when running premium products.

It's all a trade off.

You should be using '6'.

All this said, the CPU core count is a workaround to a limitation problem in X-Plane, not a magic fix for a bug or hardware that's just barely getting by minimum specs (if that).

You appear to be running the Challenger 650 on a laptop CPU, which is going to be throttled and have issues keeping up with anything trying to work it hard. A 1060 video card is further holding you back, especially as a laptop variant. I'm not even sure the Mobile version of the 1060 meets the minimum required specs of the GTX 970 we have posted on the product page.

Your computer specs are simply probably not going to cut it.
