SirValinor Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 (edited) Evening, Done a few flights in the CL650 now, and had a couple of CTD when ive set the Tfdi SmartCARS client to "PAUSE AT TOD". And it seems that once it reaches that point, my sim crashes to Desktop. Only happened in the CL650 to date. Did a flight from EGLF > EGPH, at FL400. Log file attached. Thank you for support / looking at the issue. Cheers Roelof Log - CL650 Crash at TOD.txt Log - CL650 Crash at TOD.txt Edited January 26, 2022 by skiselkov
Pils Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 Do you know exactly how SmartCARS is making the sim pause? Just so you know the add-on has built-in support for "pause at TOD", maybe use that in the meantime?
SirValinor Posted January 24, 2022 Author Report Posted January 24, 2022 HI Pils, Not sure how the SmartCARS work, but i know many others in our VA makes use of it and some other friends has had no issues with the exact same setup to date. ill try the sim Pause at TOD thats available using the aircraft instead and see whether i have better luck using that instead. But be nice to have some idea from the log file as to what "might" be causing this. Thank you again for the swift response. Roelof
Graeme_77 Posted January 25, 2022 Report Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) Investigated. Not fixable: Out of memory condition. The machine has utterly exhausted its memory pool. Not really something we can fix. When the OS says we can't get any more, that's it, we can't get any more. We understand how frustrating crashes can be, but this crash is system related. Thread closed. Please submit any new crashes with a full log.txt file as a new thread to allow tracking. Thanks for your co-operation. Edited January 25, 2022 by Graeme_77
skiselkov Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 UPDATE! Apologies for closing this one apparently prematurely. I got a few more reports of this and started investigating deeper. There was indeed a memory leak that was consuming memory continuously, at a rate of roughly 400 MB/hr. So after 10 hours, it would have consumed 4000 MB. If you were doing a long multi-sector flight on a machine with 16GB or less of memory, or perhaps left the sim open overnight, this was most likely an issue of out-of-memory crashes. Anyway, fixed in update 1.3. Apologies again for prematurely closing this issue. 1
