Cameron Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 X-Plane is a 32-bit app. It makes little difference to be honest. It's likely to run okay for you given you've got an i5. The higher end Core 2 Duo's handle it just fine as well. Quote
Panman Posted July 18, 2011 Author Report Posted July 18, 2011 Thanks for the quick reply! Will be placing my order soon!Regards,Panman Quote
simbabeat Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Ya that system can handle every plane in x-plane. You would be hard pressed to find something you couldn't run without some rendering options tweaking. Your video card is great! Quote
philipp Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I run my CRJ on a weaker system, you should be fine!Philipp Quote
Panman Posted July 20, 2011 Author Report Posted July 20, 2011 Well I made my purchase today and after a little issue with activation (that Cameron solved within minutes of my inquiry) I've made my first few circuits and landings. Had a bit of a struggle with frame rates but a little experimentation found the culprit to be the "number of objects" setting. I had set everything up to the manual but had to knock that setting down one and I've got a very acceptable frame rate consistantly between 35-40fps. Thanks for a great plane and great customer support. I'm looking forward to many hours of fun with this aircraft! Quote
