Coop Posted November 16, 2021 Report Posted November 16, 2021 (edited) X-Aviation Installer-Based Integrations: These integrations will be installed automatically by the main G500 installer if you already own these X-Aviation products. If you purchase these products after installing the G500, just re-run the G500 installer to get the G500 version of these aircraft! Default X-Plane Cessna 172SP (Included with G500) TorqueSim BN-2B Islander TorqueSim BN-2T Turbine Islander TOGA Simulations MU-2 Marquise v2 Community Integrations: Follow the link for download and installation details. Use the G500 installer located in the X-Plane main directory to install to the aircraft after downloading. We will then save that location and automatically update these further installations when you run the main installer for future updates. Carenado PC-12 by Ither Beechcraft Baron B58 "Ultimate Mod" by moossaa3 Attached below is the G500 Integration Guide. If you are interested in integrating the G500 into an aircraft, feel free to email me (cooper@realsimgear.com) and I can provide X-Plane object/texture files of the G500. VSS Posted May 31, 2022 Report Posted May 31, 2022 Hi! I'd like to install this avionics in some of my planes, specifically in the Carenado Do228 and the KA350 by Airfoillabs, but I have no experience in modifying aircrafts. How difficult is it to install? I have experience in modifying a plug-in to customise buttons on the Logitech X52 (if that's related at all...) Quote

Adding the G500 into the 3D cockpit without access to the source Blender objects can be very tricky depending on how the aircraft is setup. Adding as popups is very simple, just run the per-aircraft installer that is automatically included when you install the G500. Quote

rob.wellinger Posted August 24, 2022 Report Posted August 24, 2022 Hi I installed the TorqueSim BN-2T Turbine Islander but I do not see any G500 on it. I own the product and it works just fine on the Cessna. Maybe you have deleted the config file from the last update or something? Can you provide the g500.cfg file for it? Thanks Robert Quote
Coop Posted August 25, 2022 Author Report Posted August 25, 2022 Did you select the "G500" version of the BN-2T from the aircraft selection dialog in X-Plane? 15 hours ago, rob.wellinger said: Hi I installed the TorqueSim BN-2T Turbine Islander but I do not see any G500 on it. rob.wellinger Posted August 25, 2022 Report Posted August 25, 2022 Hi thanks it looks like that the description is wrong on the website of the G500. What I can see, it supports only G5 and not G500. I can't see any Aircraft in X-Plane with G500. But I can see one with G5. Quote
rob.wellinger Posted August 25, 2022 Report Posted August 25, 2022 PC12 Implementation is realy cool. Thanks Quote

You would need to re-run the TorqueSim Islander (BN-2B and/or BN-2T) installer to grab the G500 variant if you haven't ran it since purchasing the G500. Quote

blondejfx Posted Friday at 12:43 AM Report Posted Friday at 12:43 AM Shouldn't you guys be offering us more integrations? It's a 50 dollar product that currently can only be used in 4 aircraft out of the box. The attached integration guide doesn't really help someone who isn't familiar with planemaker. Could you at least post a video a tutorial on how it is done? Quote

This isn't really a true statement. It can be used in ANY aircraft with the included aircraft installer. What it can't do is inject itself into a 3D panel of someone else's 3D work. In these situations you will be limited to a 2D panel. You need the original 3D assets from an aircraft author (or ideally for the aircraft author to adopt support) in order for 3D panel support. So, to be more direct to you, no, we should not be hacking other peoples' assets and offering more options. If the license of another product allows, you can try your hand at that yourself, or you can discuss it with an aircraft author you like. We support 5 out of the box with full 3D integration. The Beechcraft Sundowner was added to the list for v2. Quote

Are you talking about this aircraft: https://www.x-aviation.com/catalog/product_info.php/beechcraft-sundowner-c23-p-166 It says it supports the Garmin G5 which is a different product. If it supports X-Plane 12 and G500 integration I will consider getting it but it does not say either are supported. Edited Friday at 01:45 AM by blondejfx Quote
