mjrhealth Posted March 13, 2021 Report Posted March 13, 2021 Hi dont know whats causing this but will do some more tests. This happens with and without FSGRWX which i purchased not so long ago. But I will get sudden weather changes and wind will drop to 0. Than with FSGRWX i can refresh it and its fine again. I think this may be Xplane weather getting in on the act, happened twice on my last 1 hr flight. No fun wehn you have a 21 kt wind from left that goes to zero.
sundog Posted March 22, 2021 Report Posted March 22, 2021 Neither SkyMaxx Pro nor Real Weather Connector adjust X-Plane's wind at all; they are only concerned with the clouds, and, depending on your settings, precipitation. Probably best to raise this with the FSGRW developers.

When new data is injected by FSGRW you will often notice immediate wind changes. You can change the update inerval in the FSGRW options so this happens less frequently (default interval is 5 minutes). If there is any doubt load the clear weather preset prior to running or connecting FSGRW.

Looks like laminar are investigating weather downliad issue, some one else did report this issue elsewather, bug mentioned on twitter
mjrhealth Posted March 30, 2021 Author Report Posted March 30, 2021 Seems that was unrelated, weather distribution outage, but another user did post issues where the wind after updating goes to 0, than needs a refresh to fix. had it happen a few times and really annoying when it was at 25kts than gone.
