Console window in VR

Hello- 

I was just enjoying a calm flight in the passenger variant of the Saab 340A on VOR approach procedure in VR 

I turned the sector knob up from Rose up one click (I didn’t intend to do this- I was trying to modify the brightness of the display one knob to the left, but this thread is not about that) and what happened was I got an error console popping up taking up my entire vision. 
 

Now I don’t know what the error was. Things happen from time to time. That’s ok. The problem was that the gizmo console took up my entire view and parked itself right there. I couldn’t see the exit button or anything on the corners. It was remarkably huge- looked to be 1 meter in width and only a handful of centimeters from me. I thought I would be clever and try to click up where the “red light” exit button was but my plan was foiled- I hit reboot by mistake. 
 

do I have any way to adjust the default size of that window in VR so this does not happen?

 

I have noticed this being a problem in general in VR. But I have never seen one show up quite so huge. Same problem is present on the Toliss 321 and TBM900. But with those at least the popups I can see behind and close them too. Maybe there is a setting or maybe this is something that can be fixed in the aircraft addon just to be sure that if this window pops up it will not completely blind me from all instruments and cockpit.

next time you get a console error please immediately (before another sim session/flight) grab a copy of your log.txt file and post it here.

This issue has been noted in the bug tracker.

Please report what kind of VR headset you're using and your 2D monitor resolution choices for completeness.

It seems the size of the 2D windows in VR is related to the resolution of X-Plane when it's in 2D.... need to collect more data. 

I don't have a 4k screen here and only have an unloved HTC Vive to test with so I might not be able to reproduce this at all.
