Does experimental flight model need to be on or off?

From the title, just recently got into the islander and love it. Was curious if I need to run the experimental flight mode on or off or does it even make a difference? Thanks! Love the quirks of the bird.

It is turned ON in the plane definition itself, so it does not matter what you set x-plane to.

Yup, it is turned on by us in the acf file itself, the switch box in X-Plane doesn't affect this aircraft
