SWA4420 Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 I love the -733, and I was wondering if you all at IXEG would consider completing the Classic series be creating a -400 and particularly a -500 model(s)? I would love it and buy them immediately, as I'm sure many others would as well! Thx, Jim Quote
Litjan Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 Hi Jim, we definitely consider those variants (I flew both in real life as well) but we want to finish the -300 to "feature complete" standard, first. Cheers, Jan 1 1 Quote
SWA4420 Posted February 14, 2021 Author Report Posted February 14, 2021 Hi Jan - that is great news! (I don't suppose there is any timeline for these yet? ) Thx! Jim Quote
Litjan Posted February 14, 2021 Report Posted February 14, 2021 No, unfortunately not - the future always in motion is. Cheers, Jan 1 Quote
SWA4420 Posted February 15, 2021 Author Report Posted February 15, 2021 Roger that, thanks. Jim Quote
Litjan Posted February 15, 2021 Report Posted February 15, 2021 The truth is that you really can´t tell a -500 apart from a -300 while you sit in the cockpit. Well, there are two things - one is the registration plate pinned to the instrument panel (our -500s had an I or a J as the third letter). The other way to tell is to set flaps to 1 and shove the thrust lever forward on the ground, the -500 will get you the takeoff warning horn. The -400 is actually a bit different, it has stronger engines (you can see the thrust limit on the FMC and also get slightly higher N1s at full power) and a slightly different airconditioning panel.
