JGF Posted October 16, 2020 Report Posted October 16, 2020 Hi!! First of all, my sincere congratulations for the aircraft. I've been flying it for many months and it's just amazing. However, in the last weeks and after updating X-Plane to v11.50, I am experiencing CTDs randomly in different scenerys. I don't know exactly what it might be related to. I have read in forums that it could be because of the terrain radar, but since I have CTD's in places without installed scenerys, I have doubts that it could be for that reason. Likewise, I have doubts if it could be because of the Gizmo version, since I am using the latest Beta version and that could be the cause. I attach both logs in case it could be of help. Thank you so much for any help and once again, great job on the aircraft. Regards, GizmoLog.txt Log.txt Quote
Goran_M Posted October 17, 2020 Report Posted October 17, 2020 Looks like a missing scenery file. Quote
JGF Posted October 19, 2020 Author Report Posted October 19, 2020 Thanks! I'll try a new test, because I'm having errors in different locations. Maybe will need a new X-Plane reinstall. Anyway, thanks! Quote
ssalis Posted November 21, 2020 Report Posted November 21, 2020 I am sorry for my ignorance: what does "CTD" exactly mean? Thanks Stefano Quote

ssalis Posted November 23, 2020 Report Posted November 23, 2020 Thanks Goran..... in this case, I am experiencing them, too..... Quote
Goran_M Posted November 23, 2020 Report Posted November 23, 2020 If you're getting a CTD, you need to post your log.txt file so we can see what is going on. It's found in your root X-Plane folder, but only post it after a crash. If you load X-Plane again, the file get's overwritten by a new one. Quote
ssalis Posted November 25, 2020 Report Posted November 25, 2020 Thanks..... I’ll do it as soon as it happens again Stefano. Quote
ssalis Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 LOG2.txt Hi Goran..... another CTD for me, the umpteenth one.... IFR from Athens to Cairo, just started the approach, 10000 ft, autopilot on.... Switch to external view (shift 8), and after 5 seconds CTD! Quite frustrating, I have to say... I'm doing relatively long flights, and stopping them when almost at landing after 2 hours is a bit upsetting!!! Would you please take a look at the log??? Thank you Stefano Quote
Goran_M Posted November 28, 2020 Report Posted November 28, 2020 I need the log.txt file out of the X-Plane root folder. Quote
ssalis Posted November 29, 2020 Report Posted November 29, 2020 Ok... next time. Thanks. stefano Quote
ssalis Posted November 29, 2020 Report Posted November 29, 2020 Log3.pdf Goran, here it is. Today, same flight (LGAV to HECA), CTD after landing (luckily!!!), during taxi to the parking area. Attached please find the log file from the root folder. Thanks a lot, bye from Milan Stefano Quote
Goran_M Posted December 2, 2020 Report Posted December 2, 2020 Can you try disabling AI traffic and see if that has any effect? Quote
ssalis Posted December 2, 2020 Report Posted December 2, 2020 I don’t have any third part AI traffic.... do you mean the “internal” XPlane AI traffic? Quote
Goran_M Posted December 2, 2020 Report Posted December 2, 2020 7 hours ago, ssalis said: do you mean the “internal” XPlane AI traffic? Yes. Purely just to test. Also, another question. Are you running in full screen mode or windowed mode? Quote
ssalis Posted December 3, 2020 Report Posted December 3, 2020 Full Screen... by the way, how do I disable the "internal" AI traffic in X Plane??? Quote
Goran_M Posted December 3, 2020 Report Posted December 3, 2020 Reduce the number of traffic in the aircraft menu to zero. There is a very strange bug, that AMD is aware of, that can cause X-Plane to crash sometimes while in full screen mode on AMD chips. The workaround for this, is to have another window open in the open background, while running X-Plane in full screen mode...OR...run X-Plane in windowed mode. Quote
