Aleksandar Posted October 18, 2020 Report Posted October 18, 2020 Vr in this plane is 70-75 knots. Crap...wrong VR! LOL (bump your post up!) Quote
urbanspecies Posted October 22, 2020 Report Posted October 22, 2020 I'm using the Oculus Quest V1 via the link cable. Computer 32 GB RAM i7-9700 Up to 4.7 GHz X-Plane Utility Used (I hope it is ok to post links on this forum) VMI Twick is great for tweaking FPS: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/46918-vmi-twick-vr/ Fly With LUA OVR Settings: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/50553-ovr-settings-oculus-rift-supersampling-asw/ When I bought this in July some of the VR issues were addressed but not the following: Try to do mixture rich but instead of doing a forward motion with my hand I have to do it up and down, but when I try to lean the mixture instead of doing the up and down motion I have to do a backwards forwards motion Same with the throttle. This kind of breaks the immersion as it is a totally unnatural movement, not sure if they have resolved this yet as it was seen as a low priority issue at the time. It is a good plane all buttons on the console function but haven't flown it since then. I keep checking to see if they are doing anymore bug fixes for VR. Hope others can share their VR experience with this product. Quote
jas891 Posted December 5, 2020 Report Posted December 5, 2020 I am having trouble in VR with the panel textures. The G1000 screen is nice and sharp so I know the resolution is fine but the actual words on the 3d cockpit are all blurred out so can't tell what the buttons say on the autopilot or the mfd controls or really anywhere. Does anyone know how to deal with this? Quote
urbanspecies Posted December 6, 2020 Report Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) Yes, small text is hard to read with some VR headsets, I tend to lean forward or press and hold the button on the controller that brings the view closer to you. Here is a through the lens video comparison of resolution for the current popular headsets https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ny_OPsxHQmU&ab_channel=TyrielWood-VRTech Edited December 6, 2020 by urbanspecies Quote
