grungebuddy Posted May 13, 2020 Report Posted May 13, 2020 I got the new update installed and re-installed the Gizmo beta which improves my FPS in Vulkan greatly and I have this error: 0:01:31.192 G64: debug: Toast Message:(type:error) (Please Remove or Update Plugin) / ((SkyMaxx Pro) (SilverLiningV4.Clouds)) Using the non-beta Gizmo makes the error go away. Is this a known issue? I would rather not use it at all if I can't use it with the newest Gizmo version because of performance. Quote

sundog Posted May 13, 2020 Report Posted May 13, 2020 I think you inadvertently wiped out your licensing information when you re-installed Gizmo. If you're still having trouble you'll have to contact X-Aviation as we can't solve any license issues on the forum. Quote

I had the auto update off due to a work around suggested in the new Gizmo beta thread. Thanks for the fast reply, but everything is great now. Really appreciate the new update. Quote
grungebuddy Posted May 13, 2020 Author Report Posted May 13, 2020 Also want to add that supporting Vulkan during the beta was a very smart move on your part and is much appreciated. While a beta, this quality of life update has been anticipated by many for literally years so I think it deserves an exception from developers to get their products working with it as soon as possible. Developers waiting for it to be stable are only hurting themselves in the long run. 1 Quote

I think I need to respectfully disagree here. It made sense for SkyMaxx Pro. Not much is going to change in its implementation. However, when it comes to aircraft development, I would have to argue that developers' are doing themselves right by waiting. Laminar has A LOT of moving parts right now and things are changing daily on the rendering side of aircraft, and to some extent, scenery texture paging. Chasing bugs for aircraft developers in a beta that is ever-changing is basically like asking for a sunburn on purpose out of pure enjoyment; not fun. Quote
grungebuddy Posted May 14, 2020 Author Report Posted May 14, 2020 Noted. I'm specifically referring to products that do not work at all with Vulkan -- my 340A seems to function fine. Quote
