Hello again,

Patch is NOT official... it's made by myself and I'm not going to publish it without Javier's permission. I corrected 2 things: glare shield, and windows border. First one didn't look right - too square, and windows bitmap was terrible blurry.

Files I modified (edited):

-Cockpit_Main.obj

-Cockpit_Transparencia.png

-Cockpit_Transparencia_nml

And the effect of my work looks like this: (super wide-screen - I use Matrox TripleHead2Go)

What do you guys think?

Hello Rafalb sorry but you cannot make it public. First of all because you are modifying something of this product. I am glad you asked before. But second because you are playing with textures that uses tricks and maybe you are breaking other functions.

If we put 2 years in this is because a reason and for example I used those blurry squares because rain fx and other stuff.

So no modifications shared please. Only if you want to break the plane you can do it on your computer. Of course things to make it better will be in consideration adding on an official patch.

Thanks

What happened to the clock in the bottom right?

I accidentally shifted whole model a couple of mm during the edition  >:P. All fixed.

But, unfortunately it looks like no user mods are allowed anyway. That's ok - I'm gonna fly my modified version alone  8) 8) . I checked every switch and knob and display and everything works ok. Rain effect is still there - I just extended alpha channel over those borders to hide it. But that's ok - happy flying folks. BTW my copy of FSX ended up in the garbage can today.

Thanks I appreciate it. It is not only rain what uses tricks... Wippers, ice, lights... All. it take me a lot understand everything to make it work. Don't know if you saw out but this plane is using 21 objects when It is only allowed to use 20. This plane has magic, because uses lots of tricks. Any modification can break something without you knowing. So be careful.

Rafal, good work.

Javier, would it not be a good idea to ask Rafal for his modified work, so you could perhaps investigate it and add it to the next patch? Instead of just ordering "no sharing."

Nils was more than happy to let me share modifications of his BK117 to the greater community - logbook in the cockpit, individual model number on the dashboard manual etc. My appreciation of him went up highly, as he was keen for everyone to have a better experience with his product.

Also, finding bugs like Rafal has is what is stopping me buying the CRJ right now. The sooner they are all fixed, then I'll feel comfortable getting my credit card out.

Javier has already identified the transparency issues and will fix them for sure.

However, Javier knows what side effects he has to keep in mind when fixing something.

If someone else does this, he might very well break another system, like the window icing.

So please keep in mind: Only "official" patches will be supported!

That's not a bug. It's a matter of preference and artistic touch. :)

Sorry but I am not going to correct this for now. Yes there are people that don't like the blurry glasses, but others yes. This is like the new sound rolling. A few like it but in my consideration is weak and mine stronger. So as the "painter of this picture" I will leave the blurry ones, but will correct the transparency.

And if someone don't buy the plane because of the blurry or that little transparency issue, then I open a bakery and start selling bread, because I think I miss something in my 15 years on game industry.  ;D

For the post, it's not the blur that's an issue for me, it's the combined width of the black post and the blur.  Lightening the post itself or adding a highlight would improve the look imho.

Good photos!! come poeple come on!! they are disappering!! have yours now before is too late!! come on!! buy it!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I would never made such a good posting of visual weather fx like that!!  :)

by the way.. I changed the post tittle.. it is not an official patch, also is not shared and cannot be.. so people maybe would be confused. But is good if people want to make it..

IF you want you can give me the files and I would include them on a future patch.. but on a deactivated folder.. Those that want change it, they could just overwrite the files with yours.

That way I think is more controled.

Of course I agree to have modifications of the plane, but never made public the files that you have inside the plane, or any modification of them. Only new liveries posting (without objects.. only textures)

On the Mentor Lukasz made lots of modifications. I included them as a separate version of the plane. That way people would choose between both versions.

Imagine how it is right now.. were all have same files but different behaviours. Maybe all is working for you, but if you read the post on support forum, you will notice a few have problems and don't see the same you see. So maybe those modifications are good for you.. but can be a break for others.

we have to be very careful.

hope you understand.

Hahaha... Javier (and your team) - your plane is awesome! Despite the little bugs it amazes me every time I "fly" it. I'm a 500h+ pilot in real life, airplane owner and I can tell you your product will change the way people look at x-plane. Now if only folks from x-plane would introduce seasons in their simulator  >:).

yes.. it is something taken in consideration on 10 version. Maybe not on 10.0 but after that.. I think we can work on that.

Javier, I did not touch alpha channel values, so transparencies are exactly the same. The only thing I did was extending alpha over that black borders to hide them.

Side windows icing effect in my original (un-touched) plane is the same - almost all white. It does not bother me at all :). I think it looks cool. Here's a picture: I'm gonna send you those files in a sec.

Excellent, guys. The cooperation between you is what I was talking about before.

Javier, as soon as Rafal's improvements are included, I'll buy the plane.

Ha ha! I'm picky. Fuzzy bits in front of where you sit is a big deal to me. Don't care if they're not where I can see them!

Also, I'm on limited broadband, so not ideal to have to download 290mb twice.

Let me know when. Credit card ready.

EDIT: Nope.  Now I've seen this, I'm putting it away again:

"12. Are those blurry black pixels on border of windshield, going to be fixed or removed? I won't buy the plane until then

No, they are not going to be removed. They are part of tricks I use to make some stuff never seen in x-plane like rain and ice cleaning."

The only fuzzy bits in a cockpit should be these:
