brettnicholls Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 Hi, just wondering if these issues are being looked at. From a rear view the wing Strobe lights bleed through the wing at a certain angle. Also I have mentioned this before but the rudder trim does not push the rudder in the direction it should do. Eg, I have a 65 knot left to right crosswind so from the rear I should see the rudder pointing towards the left to compensate. The Trim is pointing Right but the rudder stays straight. I know this is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but hey we all like perfection. Quote
Goran_M Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 (edited) The lights are an X-Plane issue and nothing can be done about them. 3D mesh does not occlude parameterized lights. Laminar may fix this in a future X-Plane update. AFAIK, the rudder and trim were done properly, but I can double check. Edited January 25, 2020 by Goran_M Quote
Ch.Cole Posted January 25, 2020 Report Posted January 25, 2020 I might be wrong, but with the wind coming from the left, it would push the tail to the right (turning the nose into the wind, like a weathervane), which the rudder has to compensate for. So the rudder has to introduce a yaw moment to the right. The flightpath would turn into the wind to keep the track correct, though (crabbing). Quote
