qausbah Posted July 27, 2019 Report Posted July 27, 2019 (edited) After starting the TBM900 and once it's time to switch the main generator on the amps are always too low, around 60 or so then they begin to drop to around 40 or even lower. I have reinstalled the plane, replaced the main generator (even though it shows it's new) , but none of that fixed it. Thanks in advance for any help. Edited July 29, 2019 by skiselkov Quote

Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) Try 2 more things. Check circuit breakers, make sure they're all in. Failing that, try deleting the contents of your state folder (X-Plane 11/Output/state) and then reload and try again. Edited July 28, 2019 by Goran_M Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) What circuit breaker would it be I should be looking for? I deleted the TBM Output folder before I reinstalled the plane. Edited July 28, 2019 by qausbah Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 Post your log file and I'll take a look what's going on. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Hmm..never posted a log file before. You mean the X-Plane log file and not a specific one? Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 Log.txt found in the root X-Plane folder. But only post it after running the TBM. It overwrites each time you load X-Plane or another aircraft. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Ok, it’ll be a few since I’m not currently running X-Plane. I’ll start it up, run the TBM, quit X-Plane then send you the log file. Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 I've also sent Saso a PM about this, so he'll jump in here shortly to see what's going on. But still post the log file. It tells us almost everything. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Thanks, X-Plane is booting right now. Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 You have FlywithLUA installed. Check any scripts that may be interfering with the generators. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) Inside the FlywithLUA Scripts (enabled) folder is many folders for the B738, which I believe is the Zibo Mod B737. But, as far as the actual .LUA files they include: QNH helper, Passenger'sFXV5 - American Edition, and one for XP Realistic Pro. Edited July 28, 2019 by qausbah Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 Ok, last resort. Remove all plugins, except Gizmo, and reload. There is definitely something happening on your end, whether it's user error or a rogue script or plugin. Saso is afk at the moment, but in cases like this, the best course of action is to check a bare installation of the add on without plugins installed. Then add the plugins 1 at a time until the problem returns. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Odd, since it worked fine, yesterday. Currently it’s showing 9 battery amps AND 35 generator amps. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Actually remove the plug-ins. Or, just disable them? Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 Sorry, but as of now I am off to bed, it’s late. Perhaps I’ll try again later. Thanks for your help. Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 Completely remove them. Disabling them still loads them. Also, if it was working yesterday, unless something has changed in your installation between yesterday and today, then it definitely sounds like a maintenance issue/random failure brought on by wear and tear. (Sorry for the delays in replying. Trying to manage support and helping my daughter with her homework.) Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) What maintenance issue could it possibly be since they all appeared green, unless I missed one? Or what random failure could it be? Edited July 28, 2019 by qausbah Quote
Goran_M Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 If your maintenance manager shows all green, then it's likely user error. There IS a bug in the standby generator, which has the symptoms you're describing, but you did mention it's your main gen. So this one is a bit of a mystery. Wait for Saso to respond, and we'll take it from there. Quote
qausbah Posted July 28, 2019 Author Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) Ok, we’ll see what Saso has to say. I did watch a video of someone using the aircraft and noticed that his amps on his main generator were low as well after he started the plane. https://youtu.be/d42c6gq5YUc Edited July 28, 2019 by qausbah Quote
jeff64 Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 Err I will maybe say a huge BS, but.... Isn't it normal the amps decrease ? I'm not very good when it comes to physics, but, as far as I understand it : Batt Amps : Level of power introduced in the battery to reload it Gen Amps : Charge on the generator Batt Volt : Battery level If you started using GPU, your battery has not been used. So it is normal, when disconnecting your GPU, Amps are low, because there is no need to recharge it. If you started on battery, your battery has been affected, especially by the start. So voltage will be low, and Amps will be high, cause : - the battery will be receiving lot of power to get recharged - the generator will need to produce lot of power to recharge the battery After a few seconds / minutes, battery will be reloaded, so amps will decrease. If I remember correctly, main generator load needs to be below 80 to test Stby gen, and below 50 for takeoff. If a generator does not kick in correctly, you can reset it via the little buttons on the left side of the main switches. Correct me if I'm wrong on something. Quote
RobW05 Posted July 28, 2019 Report Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) I too would say that the main gen load to decrease after startup is totally fine and to be expected. A constant high main gen load would be something to worry about. Edited July 28, 2019 by RobW05 Quote
