allegro Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Hi,Fantastic aircraft. I've now logged 10 legs on PilotEdge and really enjoy flying this aircraft. It is far superior to the Eaglesoft model for MSFS.One question. How do I remove the N400CM and substitute my own tailnumber? I am new to X-Plane and used to MSFS where this is configured in the aircraft selection. Thanks, Tim Quote

The registration numbers for the Corvalis (as displayed in the cockpit) are hard coded in the plugin so that they change with the various liveries. The registration numbers on the fuselage are part of the fuselage texture. So, unfortunately, you will not be able to change the registration number for the cockpit. You could create your own texture to "re-paint" the fuselage with your own registration numbers.Jim Quote
allegro Posted April 24, 2011 Author Report Posted April 24, 2011 Hi Jim,Thanks for the note.I'm actually not concerned about the fuselage - its' the cockpit I would like to change as seeing N400CM staring at me all the time causes my brain to flinch whenever I try to use a different callsign online :-)Could you consider perhaps in the next release a relatively simple solution - have the plane look for a 'tailnumber.txt' file in the same directory as the .acf and if present use that as the plaque? Nothing will be changed in this update with regard to the registration number.Currently the 2D cockpit registration number is driven by the plugin and therefore not changeable. The 3D cockpit registration number (as well as the fuselage reg #) are part of the "textures" and can be modified by "painting" a new texture. At this point your suggestion of a "tailnumber.txt" file would only change the 2D cockpit. This feature has been requested and you can find more info here... http://wiki.x-plane.com/Next-Gen_Liveries_RFC#Tail_NumberI appreciate your thoughts regarding this and look forward to further discussion.Regards,Jim Quote

I can easily just fly with the 3d cockpit and edit the textures then. Thanks! Quote
