grazzmaster Posted December 19, 2018 Report Posted December 19, 2018 Does the TBM 900 use bulk or bottled oxygen on normal flights? Is it only for depressurization emergencies? If so, where can I check the oxygen levels? I see that oxygen is a maintenance item, but I'm not sure if/when I need to recharge the tanks? Just curious. 1 Quote
Goran_M Posted December 19, 2018 Report Posted December 19, 2018 Oxygen qty is on the G1000 MFD, between the engine indicators and the map Quote
Mateyhv Posted December 19, 2018 Report Posted December 19, 2018 In my experience bottle seems to be used only during depressurization for the oxygen masks wen you turn it on. Otherwise does not see it being used on high altitude cruise so the pressurization makes it for the necessary oxygen. Quote
jeff64 Posted December 20, 2018 Report Posted December 20, 2018 TBM oxygen is emergency oxygen. Only used in emergency. When to refill ? When oxygen quantity is below the minimum emergency oxygen needed for the flight. When is that ? Check page 607 and following of the PIM : http://www.tbm.aero/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/PIM_TBM900__E1.pdf Depends on cruise altitude, minimum enroute altitude, POB. you can use the TBM PERFORMANCE app (IOS / ANDROID / Internet) too.
