Detecting ice conditions

Does the TBM9 have ice detectors built in? if not how do I know when I need anti ice to be on. I'd rather not wait until I am about to stall out of the sky to detect it

There are no ice detectors, but you'll see the boots start to ice up way before you'll have any stalling issues.  Just pay attention to the ATIS and the current weather conditions.
