chrisclarke512 Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 Is anyone else getting a strange warping of the aspect ratio when looking around the cockpit of the IXEG 737? I've tried it with and without X-Camera. It looks fine looking straight ahead, but if I pan to the left or right, or up and down, I get this wierd warping of the aspevt ratio... Can anyone help please?
Cameron Posted September 3, 2018 Report Posted September 3, 2018 We do not control any portion of camera views.You may want to revisit your field of view settings in sim rendering settings.
chrisclarke512 Posted September 3, 2018 Author Report Posted September 3, 2018 Thanks for responding. Would my FOV need to be different for the IXEG than any of my other add-ons? Is there a recommended FOV to start with? I'm using a 27" 1440p Screen.
Litjan Posted September 4, 2018 Report Posted September 4, 2018 I haven´t heard of this problem before. We do allow adjusting the FOV with our "built in" view system, but it should not change the field of view just by panning around. I suspect some third party add-on controlling this (head tracking, fly-with-lua scripts, camera add-on, etc.). The built in view system is nowadays obsolete and stems from the early days of developing the 737 - when X-Plane did not yet offer custom view saving and such. I personally would recommend to not use it at all, but use the default X-Plane viewing system, it is offering more than enough options and flexibility for all your viewing needs. We may even take that system ou t in one of our future updates. Cheers, Jan
