Weird Sky Problem

Besides this looks like the weather, if you have a slow system it will automatically fog up to save fps.

X-Plane will still automatically reduce visibility no matter what the METAR says, so changing weather won't do much if it's the X-Plane fog. System specs? And download a plugin called clear skies.

Ok, maybe it was the weather.  Just loaded X-Plane for the first time since it happened, nothing at all.  Let me log into vatsim to be sure, though I doubt that had anything to do with it.

Yep, nothing to do with vatsim, I logged in and the only thing that happened was lower vis, probably because of the auto-weather update.

If you've got the download weather from the net automatically option clicked, that may override any changes u make to weather. Try unclicking that and making weather scattered or clear

Vatsim with x/s-box will always overwrite any wheather settings. If your problem returns you want to try the "classic problem solver" and move your preference files out of their folder, in order for xplane to generate new ones, and try again.

Yeah, it didn't come back, though I know see round bars in a grid occasionally, but only in Virginia.

Well just because your bases are at 2800 doesn't mean your visibility will be good.. I might just be a problem with the visibility. If this is a weather issue and your at 19 fps, look in another direction, you should see your view start to get clear.

And for all of this checking and feedback, make sure you have the FPS box checked so you can see your exact numbers.

Yeah, it's sporadic, but the one shown just showed it the best.  It was on and off, I could see clear (10SM) in some directions, and only gray at maybe a mile or two in others.
