UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 9.64, mac, Honolulu area. If you can't figure out what the problem is from the screenshot, get your eyes checked. Log.txt file? Of course. Log.txt Quote
Oliver Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 If you can't figure out what the problem is from the screenshot, get your eyes checked. Probably not the best way to adress someone when asking for help...Besides this looks like the weather, if you have a slow system it will automatically fog up to save fps. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 It was sporadic, this was just the best example of it. Here's the METAR, though I changed the weather and nothing happened (towards solving the problem), so I don't think it's that. From two hours earlier than the flight. PHNL 152253Z 17007KT 10SM FEW028 SCT045 27/21 A3005 RMK AO2 PRESFR SLP174 T02670211I can translate for anybody if you need it, almost VATUSA S1. Quote

System specs? And download a plugin called clear skies. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 Ok, maybe it was the weather. Just loaded X-Plane for the first time since it happened, nothing at all. Let me log into vatsim to be sure, though I doubt that had anything to do with it. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 15, 2011 Author Report Posted January 15, 2011 Yep, nothing to do with vatsim, I logged in and the only thing that happened was lower vis, probably because of the auto-weather update. Quote
Simmo W Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 If you've got the download weather from the net automatically option clicked, that may override any changes u make to weather. Try unclicking that and making weather scattered or clear Quote
woweezowee Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 Vatsim with x/s-box will always overwrite any wheather settings. If your problem returns you want to try the "classic problem solver" and move your preference files out of their folder, in order for xplane to generate new ones, and try again. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 16, 2011 Author Report Posted January 16, 2011 Yeah, it didn't come back, though I know see round bars in a grid occasionally, but only in Virginia. Quote
JB_XUSA Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 Well just because your bases are at 2800 doesn't mean your visibility will be good.. I might just be a problem with the visibility. If this is a weather issue and your at 19 fps, look in another direction, you should see your view start to get clear. And for all of this checking and feedback, make sure you have the FPS box checked so you can see your exact numbers. Quote
UH-60 Blackhawk Posted January 17, 2011 Author Report Posted January 17, 2011 Yeah, it's sporadic, but the one shown just showed it the best. It was on and off, I could see clear (10SM) in some directions, and only gray at maybe a mile or two in others. Quote
